I would have wasted my life at metal shows, for the lulz if nothing else, if I was alive during that decade.

All the music today is indie faggish and all the metal bands try to hard to sound as unique as possible which makes them somewhat shitty. Rwake did it first in the underground scene, so did Neurosis... a couple of bands are unique, while the rest try to sound like them.

I guess there's always black metal to fall back upon, but it doesn't really make one feel like moshing.

I listen to Manowar at work all the time. Shitty band, but the songs are way too rocking and hilarious... it really makes the day go by much faster.

I hate being touched by strangers, so the idea of moshing is terrifying to me. But nonetheless, you go have fun!
