    Is it true / false that laptop computers if placed on the lap when being used , can effect a males chances of becoming impotent ?

    excess heat is not optimal for sperm production, so to at least a small extent, it is true.

    well you might be worried about it later. but i think you'd have to sit with your computer on your lap A LOT for it to cause permanent problems.

    from the thread title i would have guessed you were asking about watching too much porn on the computer leading to ED. that's probably a more common problem than low sperm count from laptops on your lap.

    No its my eyesight that's getting worse other the last few years - will get new glasses sometime when I can afford to

    I would not set my laptop on my lap for any prolonged period of time, nor do I walk around with my cell phone in my front pockets. I worry less about impotency than I do testicular cancer. Whether the risk is high or not, I dont chance it.

    Getting killed by a coconut....good
    getting killed by cancer because of the phone...the same
    Getting killed by a shark...extremely unlikely

    Oh where he lives getting eaten by a shark isn't out of the ordinary.
    I caught a Mako shark once off south east Australia while I was fishing for Tuna. I got a tuna head and the shark =D

    I admit.. I did not reel it in though. =(
