Somebody else once posted THIS link on the old "Comuters & Internet" forum. (I'm very sorry that I don't remember who!) But! Most of you will get a laugh or seven out of THIS site! (They DO have one "Pop-Up" per visit. Sorry. I didn't code it!) Here's the URL: http://www.rinkworks.com/stupid/ I, personally spend hours there, reading, and busting my gut, laughing!
hehehe yeah i threw that one out about a month (my old name was KCD) glad to see some people enjoy it.. here is one for all you code monkeys.... http://www.heuse.com/cphumor.htm ~peace~
Yeah, that one was pretty good...I only spent a bit of time on it, focusing on a few simple topics...but some of the material was pretty hilarious; like the woman who kept shorting out the circuits in her box because she was watering a plant that hung over it. *lol*
I liked to woman who's drives wouldn't read because of all the Refrigerator magnates she had on the case of the machine!
Im not sure if this little prank is listed on that site but here is what I used to do to Help Desk people whenever I was feeling like a turkey.. Help Desk would ask me to 'Right Click' on the desktop/icon/etc... Id clack my space-bar five times (let them hear you do this) and I'd say out loud "Ok there.. C-L-I-C-K.... hmm nope nothing.. maybe I spelled it wrong?" Usually it takes a few seconds for the poor help desk guy to 'fathom' what he just heard... then you hear a pitiful sigh... Its hilarious! (The evil thing is ... Ive been help desk myself so I have lots of ammo lol)
Generally speaking - they enjoy my pranks once they realise its a gag. I think its a kind of sanity laugh they need. Has anyone seen the Three Dead Trolls video going around the Net called "Welcome to the HelpDesk" I swear to you... that is EXACTLY.. lol... exactly what its like. It was even filmed in my hometown - so for me its 'too true' but hilarious. If you havent seen it - google the names i gave or (shhhhh) type it into your favourite P2P (but please buy Dead Trolls stuff if you like it - they deserve some $$)
im a sysadmin for a mid sized company (~2000 users). If it was a true prank the helldesk people with any clue would appreciate it, the script monkeys wouldn't.
