I don't follow US politics.

 

My dad ditched out on that shit in Syria... so when he went back over twenty years later, they were kinda salty about letting him leave. Even though he was no longer a wily young man, but a rickety old dude with a bad back and diabetes, they STILL wanted to make him serve his two years.

Third world countries.... pffffft.

 

Two years, fuck.

8 to 11 months here.

 

there are some things that point towards it.... especially from some of his cabinet members.....

time will tell

Well if you go to a Uni or a college or whatever, you don't have to go to military, right ?
Or you can do some sort of public service instead.

 

Oh, that's not that bad, t'all. Shit, just do really bad and they'll kick you out. It's a practice that's gotten me out of many a shitty responsibility.

 

The public service is 16 months and college is a delay -- they can grab you until you're 27.

Luckily, with the collapsing economy and the small budget of the military here, I highly doubt they'll start looking for me when I simply.. leave.
