Communism is a great idea and in a perfect world with perfect people that have no lust for power or material possesion then yes, communism would work. Unfortunatly a world such as this will never exist so I guess we have to make due with what we have. A fake democracy.

It ain't your fault, of course.. you just live in a democratic free country all your life, but trust me, that communism isn't about freedom.. it's about keeping your own personality down.. you can't say what you want to, you can not go where you want to, you can not even study what you want to, meaning high school and uni, because your parents could sometimes say something against communism.. I have always thought that hippies want FREEDOM.. if it is so, how the fuck can you say: communism is good??? Maybe, to those, who know it just from books, it looks like a good idea, but trust me.. it is the 2nd worst type of state, after fascism..
everything listed as a fault of communism is not a fault because of what communism means... it's a fault of dictatorships, and power... which is what communism stands against... The argument people always use is, "we are all greedy, selfish bastards so communism will never work"... what an ignorant, broad, speculative argument... not everyone is greedy, surely we all know that... its the equivalent to having said before the abolition of slavery -- "we are all racist slaveowners so we have no need to free slaves" People are so blinded by living in this society, a society which has over time fought "communism" in many different countries because the people who ran this society feared losing their power and wealth... they feared the spread of it... so what do they do? They make these countries poor, they wage military attacks on them, they send trade embargos to starve the people living in these countries. Cuba, vietnam, korea, the ussr... People trade in the lives of innocents, the wellbeing of families for keeping their power and wealth... much like war mongering red necks and idiotic nationalists trade in the lives of innocents for tax breaks that cater to them (the rich). Every sort of tyranny that has existed under the name of communism, what sort of communist ideology do they read? Certainly they could care less about Marx, Lenin, Trotsky.. Any person who actually studies communism will tell you these countries never followed Marx doctrine and never really even attempted to... they just wanted the name of communism to bolster their power, because they know how much the NAME will bring to them in countries where the masses starve... what happened in the czech, ussr, china, cuba, is not a reflection of what communism is like, how its supposed to be ran... Communism, is an economic philosophy, therefore it is not responsible for the consequences of its political system.
