The capitalist cannot socialize the means of production and survive against the competition because no accumulated profit (exploitation) will be available for upgrade, retooling, and commercial efforts. Therefore the means of production has to be seized by alienated labor.

So, what would happen after the means of production were seized by this "alienated" labour?

Workers would no longer be alienated from the product of their labor through ownership of the means of production. [IMG]

    I agree.

I find it preposterous that I can work for, say, 10 dollars an hour, or even work at all, and not enjoy the FULL fruits of my labour, while someone makes a killing!

So, how do we keep this status quo, which we shed so much theoretical blood for, without it being corrupted or manipulated?

It is systemic, baby. Nothing individual about it.

if someone punches me in the face and takes my shit, i hardly think standing there doing nothing, hugging them, or otherwise submitting will help.
YES, everyone wants peace, but its better to be realistic.
    Its called self defense.
Starving yourself, or being a pacifist, doesn't help in the big picture. sure, it looks cool, but you need to defend yourself.
if you have no other options, you gotta do what you gotta do.

The only way to overthrow the capitalist class is through a proletarian revolution. That is the only violence that communism offers. Capitalism is the most inhumane and impractical system known to man. It relies upon exploitation of the masses to survive, and without it, it would fail. Communism offers peace, but it has been manipulated throughout history and misinterpreted.

The Communist Party of Italy played by the rules. They fielded their parliamentary candidates and won a majority. The French Socialists fielded their own and gained majority. The dominant communist political party's chances of ruling these two countries ended in fiascos because of CIA's dirty tricks. Allende was ousted through assassination. So Payler is right! The only way to overthrow the capitalist system is through protracted struggle which will lead to the 'dictatorship of the proletariat'!! Long live Kim Jong Il ! Long live Mao tse Tung!! Long live Joseph Stalin and Vladimir Lenin!! Long live Jose Maria Sison of CPP-NPA!! Down with the Ayalas!!

I just watched the movie "Capitalism: A Love Story", and while I totally understand that Michael Moore is more than a bit biased, it touches on this a bit and its true.. there's gonna have to be some sort of revolution by the people, a rebellion.
