Well, it's not really a commune at all. It's a small bungalow from the 1920s... a house behind a house with another house behind that. I live in San Gabriel (near Pasadena, CA) and am in search of a housemate to live in the basement. Yeah, there is rent that needs to be paid, but if a person can do landscaping there is a possibility of some trade for rent. Nonetheless, bills must be paid.
