Hi, I'm mentally retarded and believe in fairy tales. Can I join your club??? I also think I'm better than everyone that doesn't think the same way as me, does that help me join?
While i dont necessarialy agree with Jerry, certainly many Doomsday prophesies have come true (the most obvious ones of course r the Holocaust and the refounding of Israel). But Jerry, there r things that r debatable. weather conditions for example, excluding the tsunami in the Indian Ocean, has been fairly normal, and just because the weather is acting a little odd doesnt mean its the End of Days. And also u say that the Mystery Babylon would emerge shortly b4 the the Tribulation. If ur theory is correct about the End being in 2006, wouldnt that make China the Mystery Babylon, because recently China has grown to be the 2nd superpower of the world, right under our noses. And Sin coming in, Humans have been sinning ever since they bit into the apple, so sin always has and always will be the same. Different types of sin, maybe, but all sin is equal in the eyes of the lord. And lastly the Antichrist wont be from america but he will be from Europe. one major reason is that no body trusts anyone any more. No one would trust an American, Asian, African, Israeli, or Muslim, but every1 seems to have there trust in Europe (Briton is the possible exception). As the Left Behind series points out, it will probably be a smaller European country instead of 1 like Germany or France. and other reasons have been pointed out by Jerry.
Britain and Germany are both involved, as they are mentioned by John in regards to the beast of Revelation. They are part of the one world government of the end times (New World Order). The European Union also plays a significant role.
this right there is VERY true. jerry is objectifying a WHOLE lot. when we choose to see connections in literature or history, we will see them... when jerry wrote his words, they were written, but inescapably his own interpretations, which are assumptions. he is a GREAT thinker, and you know what, i truly believe in his premise that the world can be coming to an end, and i do believe his conclusion that we need to 'walk with God', but i believe, (and natural23's #2 put it very nicely), that when people read jerry's post, they are "freezing one's mind" (like natural put it)... Jerry is objectifying the inescapably subjective, and although his opinion should be cherished and disected for sureeee, it needs to be known that his words too are just an interpretation... each and every word is begging the question that the prophecy IS true (begging the question = speaking with the ASSUMED truths, that are very lofty, to make further points - ie, Jerry using prophecies to built on prophecies). I personally don't believe the God people need to 'walk with' rest in any prophect either, nor should people be scared into it... it's something to behold, for one's self, with or without the guidance of Jesus or Buddha even. And jerry, wont this alone prevent your 'appocalypse'?-everybody finding their own TRUE essence...? all the fallacies and assumptions before this conclusion of yours (which is the same as mine) are just bridges to the Truth, to God... those are YOUR bridges, you built em... everyone has their own. This is what you need to instill in people Jerry, you're definitely doing a beautiful thing by trying to provoke these spiritual fires in people, but you mustn't do it with fear. much love, ethan
There's nothing like sitting below the cliffs and watching the Pacific ocean sweep upon the beach....that's all the magnificant reality that I need.
