Actually I am pretty glad that everyone was serious about this storm, my mayor did a great job in evacuating people who live in danger zones. Times like these, weather is changing so rapidly, anything can happen. It's better to be safe than sorry.
Yeah queens wasnt so bad last night....I heard in the mourning the winds picked up out of nowhere but then they subsided. Its basically over now. Thank goodness

Glad I'm not the only one who loves Spongebob... Irene was pretty disappointing in my opinion... The river behind my house flooded quite a bit, though...but we were the only ones in the area who didn't lose power or anything

The power just came back on after pretty close to exactly 48 hours in the dark. I'm pretty happy with myself for the precautions I took ahead of time. Two days before the storm arrived I filled both bathtubs with water all the way to the top so i could see if they would actually hold the water without leaking out slowly over a day or so. it turned out that only the one had a good enough seal to stay filled for more than a few hours. I used that water to flush the toilet and wash my hands. Also, just for shits & giggles, I cleaned and disinfected a trash can I use for yard waste and filled it all the way to the top. It's a good thing I did that because the bathtub still did not hold all of its water. I used that water to wash my hair and the few dirty dished I accumulated.
some places got it pretty bad some hardly nothing...mostly alot of fludding depending on where you live.. wasnt as cracked up as they made it out to be...
yeah VT amazes me...they had so much flooding and whatnot up there and they were so unprepared for it!

That bitch never really did get her act together which is a good thing or the east coast would have been pummeled and our beloved cape cod and the islands would have been laid to waste h
