You have to admire a guy supporting Scotland in this world cup....keep the faith chris! Lets just hope we will raise our game when we play better opponents! I have a feeling we could do it this year.... (as said at every major international competition)
Excuse me? Didnt quite get that last thread paulfreespirit!!! Soctland have some good players yeah.... but it is still impossible for them to win this world cup!
so yer rekon england will win it after two games ..........yeah loui would be a great achievement .......but just can"nt see it meself like .
ooo sorry my mistake Chris!!! How dreadfuly embarassing on my behalf. Realisticaly I know we won't win.... but its always nice to hope! If we dont have hope what do we have!!! But still deep down there is that feeling...!
Im a rugby player myself, but prefer watching footy. I dont follow domestic leagues as much anymore but I absolutely thrive on internationals!! I used to be a big liverpool fan funily enough... back when the team had Fowler, McMannaman, Redknapp, little Michael Owen, Bjornebye... good old days. Uncle has season tickets at Anfield, so used to go when I was younger.
lou york .....lou york sounds a bit like new york new york .......just a bit of scouse sense of humour lad .....nuthin personal ..... so whats york like ? boat races .
lol lou york... hmm! I am definitely not a hooligan patriotic knob! I just enjoy the standard of football, the atmosphere, and even th silly things like national anthems! I am far from hooliganish - im a medical student, plus I maintain I would look stupid with Flags on my renault scenic. That and I dont watch internationals in the pubs due to the aggression I seem to attract being a big fellow (but a soft one!) from the more uncouth lot. Dont really know what to say about York... its no liverpool. We dont have a nice little airport, we dont have a great footy team, we dont have a history of great bands, we dont have a great nightlife, we dont have the mersey.... (and we dont have scousers! Joke... I love you guys) We have the odd boat race, a contraversial archbishop of African origin, a nice cathedral and a single night club. And bettys tea room. I prefer watching football over rugby because with rugby when I watch it I look for techniques and such to improve my game and always seem to treat it as a training video (blame sadistic coaches), rugby is the same old for me, football is something a bit different!
