Scientists jump-start two people's brains after coma

Scientists decided to try ultra sound on coma patients, and woke two out of five. Its totally experimental at this point, but neurologists are also closing in on measuring the lowest possible energy state of the brain, which would make this possibly easier and much more effective, by both tweaking their brainwaves and the ultrasound simultaneously. Using two waves means you can stimulate different parts of the brain and move the stimulation around, but its all extremely mild and harmless, and even using AI to do the work.

It would be pretty amazing news if this turned out to be something that could save tons of coma victims and give them second leases on life

They are closing in on comprehending how the brain fundamentally operates, which is similar to a radio, which only resembles a computer as a way to filter out all the noise. Basically, your immune and reproductive system control the brain, and even the microbiota in your stomach can influence who you are. However, that means it is possible to use both brainwaves and tweaks to the immune system to even heal such things as victims of political torture, to treat racism and hatred as medical issues, and to explore the depths of the human soul. It means things like hypnotism, meditation, autism, etc. are all about cellular communication which can be mastered within possibly half a century. Already they are making tremendous advances, and my hope is to speed things up a bit. This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, and Star Trek will never be the same again.
