One of the first shootings in the history of mass shootings where the suspect didn't shoot himself afterward.

Time to kill him with a firing squad! <Also bold since this is the theme of this thread

People need to be aware that this isolated incident does not make movie theaters unsafe. The location and setting were mostly arbitrary, and mass shootings can occur anywhere where a massive amount of people are gathered.

I don't think people need to be any more afraid of seeing a movie than they are to go shopping at a mall, for example.

The guns were legally bought at Gander Mountain and Bass Pro Shop 6 months ago. These shops are not to blame.. But at what point does it become logical to be questionable about why someone would purchase 4 guns in a 6mo time frame. I'm all for the right to bare arms.. but hording them?

Sure it's been happening but honestly when I heard this story.. the first thought that came to mind was "When the fuck did this country go 3rd world?" we're in the united states.. suicide bombings.. mass killings.. this shit happens in 3rd world countries... that shit shouldn't be happening here.. it really shows the decline this country has been in

No, actually your posts gave the impression of bias in favor of Muslims or Arabs.

if the guy was dressed up like the movie villain, I would venture to guess that the motive is

    >He's Nuts<

one thing that always amazes me when things like this happen is that people always talk just about how the killer is/was a sick individual.

we need to acknowledge that healthy societies don't produce sick individuals

There will be sick individuals no matter how healthy a society is. Shit gets weird all over. I think how a society handles the sickness shows something....

Well I'll admit to having a bias in their favor simply because I see so many people who are biased against and it gets to me. By and large the great majority of all the muslim people I've met seem extremely nice, polite, and very generous. There's so much hate for the muslim people and yet I've never experienced anything but a wonderful culture and really cool people. I get upset about people thinking all muslims are terrorists because it's something my mom used to think. It's a particularly bothersome form of ignorance to me.

What society do you base this from?

Apparently the shooter had dyed his hair and claimed to be the Joker when questioned.

you cant help have mentally ill individuals, think of how many millions of people there are and how they all look different, from slightly different hair, eyes, skin, size bone structure.
you get the idea, with all those people every one of them are different from the other in some way. and that is over 300 million in this country alone.

now look at the brain, the wiring is very delicate and intricate. there are many factors and things that differentiate us in the brain. like physical appearance where over 300 million of us are all different. when it comes to the brain there are 300 million of them that are all wired slightly different. it is actually probable that you will run into a couple of them that the wiring is off slightly enough that the person just dosnt fit into what the average person conforms to.

Well aren't you also exhibiting ignorance with sweeping statements.
I'm a people and I don't think all Muslims are terrorists.

I think you're misunderstanding that statement. I'm not saying that all people think that. I'm saying that I get upset when people think that. You see? It's like, because my mom was that way, it upsets me when I see people exhibit that kind of thinking.

just giving you shit to illustrate that EVERYBODY is susceptible and prone to make such judgements and divisions.

We all have a little Archie Bunker in us, or George Jefferson.

    e7m8 kinda has a point.

You can look online at reports of cities vs. towns and their crime rates/percentages from the previous year and cities have a lot more violence in general all over the place, whereas crimes in towns happen in certain areas.

Communities that are happier overall and act like a community have fewer crimes.

The town next door to me is like that...they have "town events" every month, they are very giving to their residents, and everyone who lives there knows each other. They have virtually NO crime at all compared to my town which is more populated, no one knows each other, and the town council is a bunch of dick holes with no desire to create a "community."
