One shouldn't compromise Liberty. It may start with little things like the federal reserve act, but it ends with the patriot act,The NDAA 2012, the NDRP, CISPA, HR 347 and, the FAA Reauthorization Act. (Which puts 30,000 domestic drones in the sky by 2020, specifically to spy on the citizens.) The only compromise I'm willing to make is, "Liberty or death." I will live free or die.
Each American citizen upon reaching their 21st birthday, is issued an assault rifle after completing training. You didn't get yours? Everyone I know over age 21 has theirs...
You're right. I guess I'm just nervous. And after reading more about the laws surrounding assault rifles, I don't really see a respectable compromise.
I def. see where you're coming from bro. In 2008, I'd be right there with you. But after seeing the war on Liberty expand 10 fold in the past 4 years, I believe the only "terrorist," people should be afraid of, is the same terrorists that killed 1 million civilians in Iraq- Our Federal Government.
Why do I get the feeling with all that has happened, this guy is trying to be more than a copycat? He consciously did all of this. He bought the weapons over a period of time. He chose the location. He booby trapped his car and his place that could level a small cul-de-sac. The guy gave up willingly to the police after killing 14 and then won't cooperate with the police. He's not gaining anything big by attacking a small movie theater. He could have killed many more people. He's trying to induce more than just fear. He's trying to induce paranoia. Beyond that, the man is not sane. However, he was meticulous in all of this and I still find that something isn't right. I just don't think this guy is done with whatever he planned on doing.
obviously our people should be afraid of there own government thats the whole reason for the second amendment in the first place so if in some way the government tried to take control of the people we had a way to fight back against them it seems like more and more people are fine with there rights slowly being taken from them as long as they have the distractions and pleasures that appeal with them now i really dont see our military being fine with hurting the people they die to protect my point is simply how will any of us even have the chance to protect ourselves and the ones that we love if our gun rights are taken from us to be totally forthright it wasnt all that long ago America was in a civil war you never really know what kind of situation will arise i see things coming to a nasty head sometime in the future with how our government is and has been running for some time now i hear more and more from people that our government is turning into a socialism what are the thoughts on this
Dimebag Darrell, Four Others Killed In Ohio Concert Shooting - ... shot Abbott three times in the head using a 9mm Beretta 92FS handgun....
Hey now I said average housewife I should have said anyone that goes out and buys a huge gun but doesn't learn how to use it properly. I was thinking about a movie where this housewife carried a loaded Desert Eagle around in her purse but she never even fired the gun before
http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/201...his-is-it-at-batman-showing-panic-ensues?lite Like I said. This guy is trying to create panic and paranoia. He's succeeding in that and there may be more that occurs. This isn't over. Not at all.
That's because there were probably creepers sitting in the back rows shooting their own "spider webs" from their body as they fapped to the pre-teen theater crowds
I sometimes think we've become conditioned to be callous; then I read that a common response to horrific news is humor. It, supposedly, somehow helps the mind to cope.
Humor is turning bad into good; I see nothing wrong with it. I mostly ignored this mass killing for a bit, but then I was stoned when the news came on and I got a clear picture of what it would be like to be there, and it was terrifying - left me in a stupor the next day. Since, I've read all about it (and successfully avoided feeding the vultures that get paid to sensationalize this shit), and donated to a victim's relief fund. Back when I was ignoring it, I found jokes rather tasteless - I still find Dane Cook's pretty bad; but I was the first to thumbs up the Spiderman one up there. I think if anything, it's better to have a mixed up reaction, or an ironic one, than none at all.
I've gotten the giggles over something at almost every funeral I've ever attended. I do think humor is a coping mechanism. Although sometimes I think the extent of callousness in people goes beyond simply trying to cope
