Collecting on a bet , gamble, or wager

I like betting, gambling and wagering.

I get irritated on collecting my winnings though. I've never used violence or the threats of violence to collect. I use the nagging approach.

A co worker and I had a bet and he lost on Monday May 14th. He still hasn't paid me my 10 pack of Monster Black. The rumor going around is that he wants to bet on something else ( that I might not want to bet on) so he can play the Ol'e double or nothing. Fuck that... pay up!

When i lose a bet, I pay the day of or the next day. I lost to Neo and paid up less than 24 hours later.

When I win the bet, most times they'll pay up, but some times I have to chase around to collect. I have a steak dinner to collect on but the boss changed work schedules on me, its only been 4 years old now (that ones gone bye bye).

My bets at home were sometimes equally fustrating. I'd attempt to collect my sex winnings and there are always these delays and bad timings. When I'd have to pay up on a bet, that honey do has to be done that min.

 

i don't really enjoy gambling, so this isn't really a problem for me. but yeah, people are awful at paying what they owe, which is why i also very rarely let anyone borrow money or anything else from me, unless it's something that i really have no interest in seeing again anyway.

 

Truthfully, Pete, it upset me to collect on our bet. You were such a gentleman and good sport about it, that collecting on it seemed in poor taste.

 

I use online betting for sports, that way you pretty get your money straight away..

 

I've never really liked betting, like going to Hard Rock for a night, or something. Maybe friendly wagers with friends, but hardcore betting...too risky.

Lol He'll remember when you add intresst to it and since you are a nice person you'll probably be fair and only add a15% intrest per week

leave it up to their conscounscience. if they refuse to pay up when they can, you just know not to trust them the next time. for there to be a next time.
not everyone is a cheapskate though. some people are actually just poor.
you know there's things like rent and groceries that have to come first.

if its really your thing to offer/make bets on everything:
have you thought about becomming a book (odds) maker?
in some countries its a pervectly legal and legitimate occupation.

 

It was alot of fun. Looking back loosing was a good thing... I got to be creative and have a distraction from an emtional time in my life.
I'd do it all over again.... I'd probably change one thing though ........ I'd add a

 

No. I'd have to be very worldly knowledgeable on stats and stuff. Just dont want to make time learning. I just like betting on educated guesses. I don't think there would be a niche for that. For me anyways. Thanks for posting mnax

 

I should have actually listened to myself here because QLD beat NSW 18-12. That's 6+ scoreline lol. But if I put the bet on it would have been a different score, I know it.
