They're good sometimes if you listen to one song... They get very repeditive very quickly.

    yeah i agree.

  4. uh, sorry this thread is depressing. The scientist was so annoyingly sentimental and basically quite dull. I'm sorry, Mr. Cynical couldn't help himself

I think parachutes was a half decent and underrated album. But I have since lost interest in Coldplay

Coldplay is NOTHING like the lame "Smashing Pumpkins". LOL

Though I am not a big fan of Coldplay's usually depressing music style, I find that insulting for people who are making true music and not wailing while they bang garbage can lids (all apologies to pumpkin fans but this is the way I feel)

What the hell are you talking about? Have you actually listened to them? I'm not talking about fucking Zwan I'm talking about 90's Pumpkins? No, Billy Corgan wasnt the greatest singer, but he wrote pretty well and came up with a hell of a lot more catchy tunes than Coldplay.

As for Coldplay, I really liked A Rush Of Blood. Panic was alright, and X Y was just really tedious.

The only reason Coldplay are popular now is because they copied Radiohead's formula for OK Computer, but didn't change like Radiohead did, and just kept doing the same thing over and over.

They are so boring it makes me cringe.
