Have you ever watched the barefoot ice princess on YouTube? She walks barefoot everywhere including the snow. Maybe you should start a barefoot ice prince channel and show everyone your barefoot lifestyle, especially in the snow.
I’m going to Walmart I forgot a few things and it’s snowing so yes I’m going coldfooting here’s a picture of my bare feet in a little bit of snow
Well woke up this morning to about 2” of snow and 8 degrees Fahrenheit. Presently, it is 14 degrees Fahrenheit. I have a morning practice of going outside barefoot when I feed dog and cats. I do this regardless of the weather. When it’s below thirty I put the dog in my barn office over night. That required me to walk over one hundred feet in the 8 degree snow. Later I walked back out barefoot in the snow to put him back in to warm up. I have in past years tried barefoot in the snow and didn’t do well. Today my feet are tougher and I was able to tolerate the cold much better.
It’s been cold this week 18 degrees Fahrenheit and colder with about 2 inches of snow. I have continued by morning barefoot feeding of my dog and cats. Today I stopped at a park I frequently walk barefoot at and decided to see how long I could go barefoot in the snow at 18 degrees Fahrenheit. The first four to five minutes were fine cold but manageable. At six minutes my feet were telling me times up. By the time I got back to my truck at eight minutes my toes were hurting and the twenty minute ride home I had the heat on high blowing hot. My toes were throbbing, but by the time I got home they were warm and I got out of the truck barefoot got the mail and walked fifty or so feet to the house. Walking in the snow barefoot was an interesting experience. Going forward I will limit my time so as not to cause pain. I know I have more cold endurance than I had last year.
Just got 3” of snow last night and I took the ashes from my wood burning stove to the burn pile barefoot in the snow. It was a wonderful feeling walking over 50 feet there and back.
Well the deep freeze continues making barefooting challenging. As is my custom I walked out barefoot onto the deck to feed the cats. Today it was 0 Fahrenheit. I didn’t barefoot through the snow to get the dog out of my office cabin. But, this morning I had a Bible study to go to, so I left the house barefoot walking across the cold blacktop, with a section with packed snow. My feet were cold and my toes were experiencing some throbbing. As I drove the heater began to work and my toes began to warm. Fifteen minutes down the road my feet were warm. Cold temperatures are challenging and limiting but if you just have to be barefoot it can be done with caution. It’s going to get to 60 next week I so want to walk barefoot for an hour or so.
It’s raining today and the temperature is in the 40’s and the rain feels great on my bare feet. But I do get a lot of weird looks when I go into a store .
Well we had a little snow last night here in Kentucky, so I took a short barefoot walk in the snow. As in less than five minutes. But I got grounded and I defied winter and walked barefoot through the snow.
Today it was 38 degrees Fahrenheit when I took my barefoot walk in the park. The gras was mostly dry, but there were some damp spots as well. I walked about a mile with no discomfort from the cool temperature. Additionally, I walked about a tenth of a mile on an old blacktop parking lot that was challenging because as blacktop ages little stones dislodge leaving a rough surface of little ragged edged stones. I have walked this are several times and my feet seem to be getting tougher.
I really like her videos, I find them relaxing and try to imagine myself doing the walking. I would love to see more of similar content
This winter is just kicking my ass. We had temperatures of down to even -35 Celsius (-31 Fah) for several weeks and then blizzards like you wouldn't believe, with the consequence that there's now over 1 meter (over 3,5 feet) of snow in my backyard, and keeping the front yard cleared so that I can use my car has been actual honest, back breaking work. While I'm still barefoot in the house, these conditions have made it difficult to go outside even clothed, let alone in bare feet. Spring can't come soon enough, I mean Jesus...
You definitely don’t live in barefoot friendly country in the winter. Glad you can at least enjoy being barefoot indoors.
I had to go to Walmart today and wow did I get some looks today the sun is shining but it’s only in the 30’s this morning it was 26 degrees . But when I went to Walmart people looked at me and I could hear them say wow that guy is crazy or on drugs to be walking around in bare feet and somebody sho call the police. I know somebody must have talked to the manager but the manager knows me and he told whoever that I’m always barefoot and it’s ok . How do I know because he came and told me . But it’s been a good day for being barefoot a little bit chilly but still good barefoot weather
