I have a thing against macaroni. It's just.. I don't know. It makes me feel even more poor. hahah Poutine ftw indeed.
Beans and rice does not exist for white people born in Canada. That is a fact. Although it is highly delicious. :O I won't actually feel rich until I have a satin smoking jacket and driving gloves made from human leather.
Beans and rice sounds interesting and maybe one day I'll find a recipe that sounds good. Grits are another thing white people in Canada know not of...
what, you never eat beans and rice?????? grits is good, and i can understand not being exposed to that.... but beans and rice? really?
grits with butter, salt and pepper, with a side of some well done bacon and maybe a little fruit, with a cup of coffee is a wonderful breakfast
Ahaha. I'm actually a bit obsessed with the South, have been for a few years now... I've made/had beans and rice plenty of times, at home and when I'm there. Whenever I'm in Kentucky/Tennessee for Bonnaroo - yeaaaaaah. AND I make sure to bring home a few pounds of grits, and Luzianne tea. I have to grow my own okra too. I can't find it in stores here.
I'm pretty sure No Frills carries okra...fresh and frozen. Poke out my eye and cut off my arm if I'm wrong.
Gaaaaah. The only No Frills *kind* of near me is in Caledonia. :leaving: If you know what I mean... hahahha
