I have to admit if my school would enact the same policy, i'd have no choice but to rape everyone I saw. I'm just too impressionable.
Actually everyone was there, Roman public bathrooms were very literally in public. But don't use the rape argument, it's the same tired argument used against trans people constantly. A gender symbol on the door doesn't keep a rapist out of a bathroom, and honestly if this is the main worry you should want more men in the bathroom since 95% of men find rape pretty reprehensible and the would be victim has more of a chance if there's another man in the bathroom to fight off said rapist.
in dunno, i think it would make the girls and the boys too more inhibited if they had to share a bathroom, let's face it, a school day is long and a girl might wanna freshen up or change her tampon.. How are they gonna do that if theres boys around...
That old saying, men are vain, women are ridiculous. Men often make themselves look better in a mirror too but it generally stops at fixing the hair and splashing some water on the face.
we live in a place where men can't control themselves when women fart or take their shirts off and you don't think coed high school bathrooms will be an issue?
When ya fart ???? i never got any compliments on my farts, these bathrooms will be in grade schools too..
I think that's a ridiculous idea. Guys think we're gross enough for having periods. If they hear us pissing/shitting, we're so not getting laid by anybody we go to school with. >_<
Okay, cleaning your genitals in a public bathroom is gross anyway, whether there's men around or not. That's what we shower in the morning for. :/ At least that's what girls I know usually mean when they say "freshen up." It means they have to clean somewhere, usually down there. I don't share toilets with dirty girls. :/ This is why men think we're scary.
you really don't understand the male mind. jesus, whenever i hear a girl say that, i'm going to look at her in an entirely different light now...
i've never heard "freshen up" referred to like that before. it's kinda disturbing. i'm not sure what i would do if i saw a chick cleaning her cootchie in a bathroom sink except, perhaps, not use that bathroom. i'll have to ponder on this awhile.
