But he's only polling at a 30% chunk. Many would still consider that fringe since it's not in the 47%-50% ballpark range. Also we have to figure out how he matches with Trump, whom I believe will be the nominee on the Republican ticket, because the dark side of the force is strong with that one that it masquerades as light, defending freedom. Let's not forget I've heard a lot of women voting for Trump too, the implication that women are more enlightened voters than male voters, does not seem to apply this political season. For those of you who are of the conspiracy "voting doesn't matter category" I implore you to look a bit closer to what you call "The Establishment", they're freaking out...if this was a controlled conspiracy on their part, that is not a behavior we should be seeing from them, because they know they're in control.
Bernie all the way. I normally hate politicians, but he's not like the rest of them. Also, he's not "sponsored" by corporations, but by people, so he will work for the people. He's saying the same thing he's always said instead of flip-flopping and twisting words to try to appeal to audiences better... yet audiences love him anyway. This is the first election I've actually cared about and the first time I've seen a candidate that I actually support. You get people saying "we need a female president" an even Hillary has been throwing that around lately, but it would be worse to vote for someone solely because they're a woman than to wait for a woman who is actually worthy of the position. We should vote for who we think will make the best president, not try to force a fake "equality" in power when that actually defeats the purpose
I have a couple links for you on this one. (Hint: Bernie is better than Hillary) First, a comparison at Inside Gov: Sanders vs Clinton vs Trump And second, Quinnipiac polling info from Dec 2 In both cases, Bernie Sanders is viewed as a better candidate overall and that he has a better chance to beat Trump (or any Republican).
While I'm not very stoked about a Sanders presidency at all, I do think he has better policies than the rest of the carbon cut-out leaders of his party. I would very much like Hillary to lose her primary again just for the lulz. And Bernie is the one most likely to do it.
The next Democratic debate is on ABC tonight. Debbie Wasserman Schultz doesn't want anything to mess up Hillary's huge lead, so she's scheduling debates for nights that she thinks nobody will be watching TV. She's so unethical.
Aren't a lot of people who work during the week and who want to watch this kind of thing able to watch it on such a an evening perfectly fine? And if people have an interest in these debates can't most of those people just as easily watch it later at a time of their own convenience?
she really is. Did you hear about the DNC database "breach"? Well, the 18 - 34 age group which is really Sander's target demographic aren't likely to stay home on a Saturday night to watch a debate, but like you said they are the most likely to look it up online at their convenience. Traditionally weekend tv does have the lowest ratings of the week. Unless football is on.
+1 I am voting for Hillary. I really don't have anything against Sanders, but I don't see how any of his proposals would work if the repubs retain control of congress. If you think it's been a clusterfuck between Obama, and congress, it could conceivably be worse with Sanders as president. Furthermore, who will be is running mate? Warren says she doesn't want the job, and there are very few known politicians that support his views 100%. If he were to pick an unknown, I think that would really sink his chances. In rethinking this, I still wonder how he plans to pay for his entitlement programs.
I read that the DNC is trying to keep Sanders from getting info on voters. Seems like they want Hillary
well Mr. Sander's people hacked a private server to acquire non-public information. If some bankster or wall streeter had done the same, Bernie's people would be howling! Who needs a debate anyway?
Yeah, the DNC is responsible for security on their own database, so that fuck-up should be on them. I'm not convinced yet that the data in question was of high value.
Get real. Nobody hacked anything. It was a program that all of the candidates have access to with firewalls separating their info. The firewall was removed (on purpose?) and one low-level aide looked at a list of names. The Sanders campaign fired him and reported the issue to the DNC themselves....otherwise it may not have even been noticed. Even the admin of the program has said that nothing vital was compromised. The Sanders campaign has complained to the DNC about this happening in the past and other campaigns having access to each others info. No action was taken in the past on the part of the DNC. It's only an issue now because the DNC will stop at almost nothing to make sure Hillary is the candidate. I would suggest they tread lightly because the last thing they should want to do is piss off Bernie supporters and risk them not voting for Hillary should she be the eventual nominee.
^yeah, what he said. This was immediately reported , months ago, by the sander's campaign and the staffer who accessed the data was fired. Sanders has done nothing unethical. This is merely a very thinly veiled attempt by the DNC to undermine his campaign.
Probably the same way the government pays all its overseas contractors or pays to fund a multi million dollar gas station in Afghanistan or pays to make the most technologically advanced and expensive weapons in the world or pays for subsidies for giant industrial corporatized farms or pays to raise congressional salaries when though virtually all of congress is independently wealthy I could go on, and on, and on but you get the drift. I find it laughable when people ask how we are going to pay for programs that benefit the majority of the country but say nothing about all the unnecessary bullshit the government already pays for.
Sander's data base was restored last night, after the DNC received 250,000 signatures on a petition from MoveOn.org, 214,000 fro the Sander's campaign, and 115,000 from Democracy for America. All within a few hours.
Sander's will pay for his programs by going after corporate and private greed. How Bernie Sander's will pay.
