I think Sanders could still be viable if he had actually gone on the attack. Sure he popped up a few times and put her in her place, but we didn't get nearly the show from the democrats that we got from all the back-stabbing republicans. Trump is about to claim credit for attacks that would have given Bernie a realistic lead. But Bernie chose to pull his punches. Trump won't. He's already planning to give us a rerun of Bill's years as president. At the moment he's slamming her for colluding with Bill to silence the women he had affairs with. I won't even try to assess if Bill is actually a rapist. As a public figure he could attract all manner of toxic groupies, women AND men! Trump has no allegiance to the DC establishment, so he's not going to play by their rules in dealing with the Clintons. So maybe Bernie has a plan after all.
I would agree with you that Bernie needed to be more aggressively competitive But then I realize that if he fought and debated that way, the SJWs, Fembots, and keyboard warriors from across the fringe left would attack sanders for being a mysogynist sexist old white man for "mansplaining" to a womyn.
True, but what has he gained by playing the opposite role? I was actually shocked to see Bernie just sit down in Seattle like a whipping boy while those BLM girls took his mic away, pulling a Kanye on him basically. What's outrageous about it was that he was a presidential candidate. That alone calls for more respect. But respect has become a matter of who can yell the loudest or whine the longest. I remember Bernie from decades ago when he screamed in the face of cops and republican shills. Bernie, gloves off or GTFO
Naaa, he doesn't have to chase them around that old money pit. He won't be on duty, the old ball and chain will. This means lots of spare time for the first, whatever, to do meaningless tours and judge small town beauty contests. In other words, with Hillary down in the situation room, it's Free Willy time for Bill!!!
We covered that somewhere already. Totally bogus, about a year old now. More GOP mud slinging aimed at Clinton...been going on for 25 years. Sounds like you're just spouting off nonsense to me.
I don't see things in black and white as many others do. I would have to investigate her involvement with The Clinton foundation, her current amount of control, who was responsible for the corruption, if she knew about it, and if she did know about it what steps she did or did not take to rectify the situation. Further if I were to support her and the allegations were true (which they aren't), I would have to look at the rest of her platform, her other activities, I would have to balance this episode against everything else she had done or intended to do. For example, we all know that JFK was a womanizer, FDR had a relationship outside of his marriage, TR killed at least 1,000 big game African animals including 6 rare white rhinos, and Washington owned slaves. But overall each one was a great President who accomplished much for the nation and mankind. I would also look at the alternative, who else that is electable is running for the office. All I see is Trump. Is Hillary smarter, have better values and mores, know more about the government and the world, have more political experience; does she have more law experience, has she fought for racial equity longer and more than Trump? Does she want to deport all illegal immigrants, bar entry to all Muslims, bring back torture "a lot worse than waterboarding", murder the innocent family members of terrorists, carpet bomb the Mid East, refuse to raise the taxes of the rich, eliminate the EPA and many other watchdog entities? Did she earn the title of biggest liar of the year, was she born with a silver spoon in her mouth and is she reputed, as is Trump, to have lost more money by his dealings than if he had just invested it in the market and let it alone instead of bankrupting several companies and running fraudulent enterprises? In short all things considered, who would I want running the country Hillary or Donald? I don't subscribe to these one line accusations and blatant attempts at Swift Boating. Nor am I resolute in my support, if something about Hillary were to be proven to be so terrible as to overrule all her good points, I would drop my support. So far there is nothing.
Bernie gave a speech in Salem a couple of nights ago and he touched on everything that this country SHOULD do, but probably won't. Single pay, changing the governments relations with native Americans, fixing the inner cities that have been neglected , raising taxes on the 1% and making them pay a fair share, ending the off-shoring money hideouts, free tuition for those that wish to get an education--etc. Two local Eugene stations covered the speech -ABC and NBC affiliates, I believe. It was at least an hour long and he said at one point--"now listen closely--you won't hear any of this on television."---by which he meant nationally, I guess. Nobody here mentioned his speech in Salem, so I guess he was right.
But Bernie better get his act together. I voted for him in the PA primaries, but it's looking more and more as if his boat has sailed. He still thinks he has a chance at the nomination so I'll cut him some slack...but he better not cost the Dems this Presidential election. When the time comes he (or Hillary for that matter) had better call all their supporters together and tell them to support the Democratic nominee, be it Hillary or Bernie. All these Bernie supporters that think Trump is better than Hillary will have a rude awakening if he wins due in part to their voting for him or their lack of voting at all.
If Trump ends up winning, the blame will hardly lay at the feet of Sanders. It will be because voters feel disillusioned with how everything went and you can personally blame Debbie Wasserman-Shultz and the DNC. It is blatantly obvious that they did literally everything in their power (legal or illegal) to rig this and make sure HRC gets nominated. Had HRC won with no cloud of suspicion, I think things would have gone smoother but she isn't winning that way and it is only going to get worse. Now, people can say that the DNC is acting appropriately to make sure their preferred candidate is nominated. They can say Bernie isn't really a Democrat so this is fair. They can say he is too extreme for the party and doesn't represent the views of the party, etc. etc. Fine. Fair enough. Sanders isn't really in your party and you don't support his agenda. Then why do you expect his supporters to fall in line and support your agenda? That doesn't make any sense. While Sanders may feel obligated to support HRC later (since he did, in fact, run as a Dem), she is in no way simply entitled to the support of people who she and the DNC have clearly told to go to hell and that their voices don't matter.
That doesn't change the point.....they want to screw him and then justify it by saying he isn't really one of them. I don't think anyone who is paying attention would dispute that. But then they expect his supporters to support their agenda....after they said he isn't one of them. That implies that his supporters must not be on their team either. I'm not saying they should or shouldn't support HRC. I'm just stating how it probably feels to many people. Under the current leadership, the DNC may well be on it's way to pissing away the support of a very large percentage of the future left-leaning voters. It isn't the voters fault and it isn't Sanders fault. Who's left to blame? Who's running the party?

Also, the email allegations are obviously completely true. You're not allowed to have a private server housing classified information. Everything has to be on the public record. It was just her way of avoiding FOIA. She's going to prison.
I'm starting to pick up a vibe from Bernie that this race has become intensely personal for him. That's not what I signed up for. I didn't think he was like that. If he goes 100% into "win at any cost" mode, that would make him no better than Hillary.
What has he done besides continue to campaign? I havent noticed anything different from what he was doing a couple of months ago.
