Fuck talking about assigning blame, fuck talking about how much it costs, if this the best the public can do, its time to starting digging a hole to hide in. People might as well walk right over the nearest cliff, for all the interest they show in survival, or even discussing the situation like adults.

After a century of the entire world ecology being raped without reservation, scientists are only now coming to the realization, that nobody is listening to them. Fuck em, if they won't listen, stop talking to the idiots, and start looking for people who are willing to listen.

 

There has been discussion that the recent condo collapse in Miami had to do with rising sea levels. The beaches are eroding. It’s not the sole cause but definitely think it contributed to the instability of the Surfside condo building.

 

That is the first thing I thought of when I heard of the collapse.

 

Yea, there’s a myriad issues with that building, but it would be foolish to ignore rising sea levels as a major contributor. If anything, that means you need to keep on top of maintenance even more than if the building was built further inland.

I'm a navy brat, and have lived in dozens of port cities and know a great deal about ships and naval architecture. The truth is, all of Florida is a giant swamp, where you need a fan boat to get around, and its a swamp that is hit with nonstop hurricanes. The building that collapsed was, in all likelihood, one of the few that survived longer than most.

The entire state of Virginia was a swamp in the days of the dinosaurs, and about 400ft above sea level is as high as it gets, while rising sea levels will displace most of the human race. Already, people are raising their houses on stilts and preparing for the worst.

 

I have one thing to say about this - "URINATE ELSEWHERE"

Yesterday we drove from Shelton, Wa to Bremerton, Wa. The scope of thermal damage to roadside trees is staggering. Douglas Fir, Noble Fir Christmas tree plantations, Red Cedar and even Salal. People who say our recent heat wave was “just normal climate fluctuation” are both ignorant and delusional.

 

Rogue fires have broken out in the tundra all around the north pole, the mighty Columbia river is running dry and Hover Damned is damned, and the worse everything gets, the louder the chickens run in circles screaming the sky is falling and, "Off With Their Heads!"

Think 3 year old, plugging their ears, and screaming, "I Can't Hear You!" My own work is in how to penetrate that thick hide, or encourage them to die younger and reproduce less often.
