I lived in VA which imports garbage from NYC. At one point, they had a barge full of garbage stuck on the ocean, with nowhere to take it. We are literally drowning in our own garbage, so fast, it is beginning to kill all the pelicans. There is so much inert plastic alone in the environment that it is threatening to kill the oceans and everything else. Of course, nobody knew that until they finally started seeing everything dying and started doing more studies.

If the oceans die, we will have to make our own oxygen.
