Do the kiddos have any activities they can go to a few hours a week or what about Head Start? I am an outsider and if you want me to shut-up I will, no hard feelings-at all. I know you guys want to homeschool, BUT do you think maybe you two are taking on entirely too much and setting yourselves up for failure. You're human.
I thought it was going pretty well. The oldest is counting to 100 fairly well. He's doing small math problems like 2+4 and 5+5, etc. He knows his shapes, colors and such and is actually working on his speech skills. Trying to work on those sounds that are hard for kids. And he's getting better. I wish my camera would hook up to my computer. I'd show everybody a picture of our "nasty" house. Which consists of a corner of dirty laundry(next to the washer), a crate of toys littered through the living room and a trash bag that's slightly over full. Again, we have too many people for our little house so even if all laundry was clean and everything placed "neatly", it would still be cluttered and messy looking because of the absolute overflow of our belongings. She's the one with a problem with the house. I just do the best I can, try to stay on top of the stinky stuff, and make sure everybody is well fed and taken care of. She says she's going to find a day care program. The two older ones are not legally my children, so I can't enroll them in anything.
I Bought A Mains Operated "Power Head" For My Vaccum Cleaner The Other Day. Fantastic For Removing Cat Hairs. Just Wanted To Share That With Youlls... Meanwhile, Back To The In House Entertainment....:lurk5:...:cheers2:. Cheers Glen.
So are you saying he's been telling you for years and it just started to happen... or??? You know where I'm goin with that.
We've got a Shark. I want one of the new ones though since this one has battery life issues and doesnt' have as many options as the new ones.
Hey thanks, I don't think I could handle more than two cats. I have an excellent vacuum cleaner though. I think my little guys are worth the trouble. :cheers2:
I like a clean house which is hard cuz I'm not that clean. My wife on the other have loves a clean house so she kindly keeps me in check.
That is great that you are so vested. I wish more dads were like that. I just think you're overloaded, both of you. You need to find a way to make each other feel valued. I think more time for both of you, alone, time together without the kids and a really good counselor could help you figure it out and make both of you feel better about yourselves. It sounds like BOTH of your are doing a shitload of work, yet neither of you feels validated or valued for it. That just sucks, for both of you.
i just didn't realize. i grew up ith people bitching at and about each other incessantly. and when i'd get tired or anxious or just plain moody i'd bitch about dave unfairly. and it was unfairly. so he told me how it made him feel. now, if i have a problem with dave, i tell dave. not much to say, though. i'm not comfortable with spoken expression, good or bad. so basically dave never gets quite the thanks he deserves, but he also doesn't get the complaining he doesn't want.
I dunno about that. I mean I know I'm not always the most pleasant guy, but I damn near go overboard on showing my appreciation for stuff. For real. I say thank you for everything, and sometimes more than once. I even thank her for stuff she didn't do but meant to do. No bullshit.
I have a bit of OCD about keeping my room at home clean. I cant stand a dirty kitchen, and if im gonna cook, it has to be spotless. At work im a bit more lax. I just get super pissed if I get home after being away for a week and it being messy. My sister isnt a very good housekeeper, the kitchen is ALWAYS a sty. It smells, there has been food in pans and she has left raw meat in the microwave for a week. The bathroom is usually clean, the kitchen and coffee tables are always full of clutter, but god forbid I have my beer on the table, and even worse if i open another one with an empty sitting there. Its D-day. I wont cook anymore, because even if i used one pan, one spoon, a knife and cutting board, and I leave so much mess, even though I had to wash all of these items to cook anyway. We have one 6 month old, 5 dogs, and 3 adults. I only go home 8 days a month. I stick to my room and takeout when Im home. I cant wait till we move and I have my own place.
Of course it's being blown out of proportion now. Now it's about you being part of the problem too. I'm sure this is why she doesn't any more either. Mainly because she said so. I'm done here. I don't even like my business being this far out there, but I'm not going to sit here and have to see the shit and not speak up. Hope you enjoy the rest of your lying.... I mean... venting session.
Does Anybody Else Still Use A Feather Duster.?? Works So Much Better Than Those Modern Day Nasty Acrylic Ones Which Only Seem To Shift The Dust From One Place To The Next. Just Thought I'd Share That With Youlls... Now Lets Get Back To The Floorshow....:lurk5:...:cheers2:. Cheers Glen.
I didn't lie about anything... you're over annalyzing instead of taking it for face value, but I agree, I prefer to leave these petty arguements to be eliminated.
Important enough to hire a house keeper. In Central America if you do not keep clean and wash your hands and trim your nails, you will get parasites. Not fun
I just started using my bamboo fleece fabric scraps instead of disposable swiffers. They work awesome. I might sew up one with lots of fringe and maybe some heavy cotton to slip on our swiffer handle. I most likely won't though beause I say I am going to do thigns like this and make weird little drawings and then never do them.
