That's a HUGE accomplishment that will pave the way for many more!

Pod tea is a wonderful long-acting option that serves as the mid-way between addiction and sobriety for many people. If you can manage moderate use, I say there's nothing wrong with indulging now and again.

    Congrats again!!!

    way to be dude :]

I went through a period of heavy painkiller use, eventually moved on to tar. haven't touched an opiate in over a year. never want to again.

I use about a glass of poppy tea, about every 4 or so weeks, or whenever I am out of weed and in pain. the funny thing is I can go months without it, even years. it is so low dose of opiates, I really dont get addicted.

and mindbenderI will definitely pm you.

ex mild oxycontin addict. I guess it's similar. Not for too long though.
I can really see myself going down that road so I'll take your willpower as insiration to control my drug habits as well :) good job must be hard. Do you still think about heroin much?

I am careful but I have been using poppy tea for a long time, and I can quit it whenever. the only thing I have ever been addicte dto was heroin.

trust me I am not lying.

    Good grief.

6 years?! That's awesome! I can't even stay off codeine or hydros for more than a few weeks. I got hooked on the poppy seed tea for a while and it's got a really long w/d period. Then the seeds grew and I had my own opium for awhile. Still, keep it in your past and be glad you rid yourself of that beast. I haven't tried H and don't want to since I think that'd be the end for me. Congrats on getting married, too. How'd you get clean off H in the first place? Willpower, or did it take rehab and counselling? I'm trying to fix my life and also have bipolar. My doses of opies are low but I still feel awful without them. Any advice?
