Blade Runner Groundhog Day Oh Brother,Where art thou Anything David Lynch Seconds(little known, but good) Eastwood westerns THX 1138 Catch 22 Slaughterhouse 5 Big Lebowski Fear and Loathing True Romance There's a few.
The Godfather - one of the few movies I also consider to be a work of art. Patton - George C Scott's performance is great because he plays off Karl Malden, just like Brando's performances in On The Waterfront and One-Eyed Jacks were great because he played off Malden. The Quiet Man - I love the music more than the movie but the Irish humor is wonderful as is the location photography. The Searchers - the best western ever, the most beautifully photographed western ever and the best psychological western ever. She Wore A Yellow Ribbon - saw this as a kid way back when and never got it out of my mind, especially the music and the stunning location photography. (3 of the 5 directed by John Ford and starring John Wayne, although I don't consider myself a big Wayne fan)
I like James Bond, but I also like Mission Impossible! Believe it or not, I don't really like Bourne! I think it's hard to follow or something. Something about it put me off at some point and now I don't know any particularly nice things I'd like to say about it. Other than that Moby song "Extreme Ways"; which is not Moby's best. Anyway... yah... the spy movies are super cool
Goodfellas Forest Gump The Shawshank Redemption Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas Hot Fuzz Withnail and I
Repo Man--"laugh away fuckface--tomorrow it'll be in every major newspaper." "Hey kid--you wanna make 10 bucks? Fuck you queer."
Love those old Charlie Chan movies. Old enough to have seen them in our little movie theater costing me 12 cents!
Mantan Moreland was hilarious. I suppose his acting might be considered to be like the actor that played Steppin Fechit in this day and age, which was really the white folks version of how blacks acted.
Manchurian candidate (1962) Suddenly last summer (1959) Laura (1944) Road to Perdition (2002) not so classic but I love it I have a lot of movies that I never get sick of.
