Philadelphia Story. Treasure of the Sierra Madre. Marx Brothers Movies. My Little Chickadee-( Mae West, WC Fields) On Borrowed Time Mrs Miniver Ruggles of Red Gap The Man Who Came to Dinner. Harold and Maude OLDIES BUT GOODIES.
Have you seen Dark Passage with Bogart and Bacall? Very interesting movie the way it is shot the first half of the film solely from the perspective of Bogarts character. Very underrated!
I think so----but many, many years ago. The Third Man (Orson Welles.) Adams Rib. Maltese Falcon. The Plainsman. Good Sam (All the ones I name are from my collection)
Pulp Fiction, The Hurt Locker, Forest Gump, The Book of Eli, Predator (1986), No Country For Old Men, First Blood, Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Dirty Harry, Heartbreak Ridge, Clockers, Fresh, Mud, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Superbad, Terminator 2- Judgement Day, and then some.....
Walkabout. It is a visual symphony. A kaleidoscope of the Australian bush. Watch with headphones with volume turned up. All That Jazz.
I thought he was totally cleared of the child porno charge? Something about the DA "accidentally" using evidence from a different case, I think. But yea the public masturbation stuff is still a downer. I guess Hugh Grant could get away with it because he's British
Narrow Margin. Gene Hackman is great. The Net - hopelessly outdated but I love Sandra Bullock and Dennis Miller is one of the greatest actors of our time- kidding of course - I’m sure he would agree.
Somewhere In Time. Christopher Reeves was great in that one. I think of that movie every time I am handling change.
Love the pun ("watch again and again"), but also love the spiritual message in the movie. Murray's character starts out chasing pleasure and quick dopamine fixes until he can't escape the hollowness of it. Then he just tries to end it all but that doesn't work, so he has to start learning skills and changing himself, because the only thing that carries over from one day to the next repetition of it, is self improvement.
lol you got my lame joke But yes it’s also a great movie you can watch over & over finding new meanings. Like you said, it’s all about self improvement through repetition. I’ve heard Buddhists say it’s the perfect metaphor for reincarnation & spiritual enlightenment. Dunno if it was written with that in mind but it works!
