This is actually a very interesting poll. I thought the number who smoked regularly would be much greater. It's good to know this is working. Now the big question. How do I quit?
Five days smoke free after 29.5 years. I'm over wanting to kill someone but I've got the munchies most of the time. Go me.
i dunno... the patch helps me a lot... along with breathing excercises and taking walks and stuff after meals.
I smoked for 11 years. I know what it's like to be addicted and listen, the patch is a damn trap. It's all or nothing. Because once you're done beating the feeling of putting something to your mouth, you battle with the nicotine fits. I picture zombies putting patches on themselves. It's degrading. Just stop or don't.
HHF, there's a difference. I can gradually reduce my patch dosage. I can't reduce my smoking without continuing to rape my lungs. It's about quitting, not about how.
mike. i totally disagree with you. if someone can and wants to quit without a patch or something great... i quit for 13 months before by using the patch... i would put the patch on and forget about it.... while gradually lowering the amount of nicotine that patches were giving me. by the time i was done using the patch, i had all ready totally broken the mental part of the addiction and didnt really feel the physical either. the patch wasnt a trap for me. when i stopped using it, i didnt even notice or miss it.
I've smoked here and there. I can live without it though. Though I do think smoking is sexy. It's a fetish.
