As if it wasn't bad enough, Gov. McGreevey just passed the third cigarette tax since he's been in office & now cigs are like $6/pack here in Jersey.

i just quit smoking two weeks ago but i used to smoke Camel Lights I live in New York though I'm in kansas now. in new york i pay almost ten bucks a pack but here i pay only 4 something.

 

I live near Chicago, and I have never used tobacco. No one beleives me. I tried to decide when I was young, that I wouldn't put things into my body that weren't worth the trouble they might cause. No booze no tobacco.

My dh smokes at least a pack of Newports a day. Bleh. Expensive. I think when he goes to the special tobacco shop he gets them for like $3.70 a pack. More if he buys them at the grocery store or the liquor store. I think it would be cheaper if he bought them by the carton. But he is always thinking he will quit. ("Why spend the money on a carton when I might quit in a few days.") Makes zero sense to me.

 

go have sex and smoke a cigarette after and tell me your not relaxed. the 2 times ive done speed i was very relaxed during it for quite a bit of time, dispite it being a stimulant. they get rid of stress for me, and when i need so smoke something id rather grab a cigarette and get rid of all that stress instead of sparkin up a joint and being high for a few hours.

I have a question. Like 4 years ago when I used to smoke, I always would buy these cigarettes that were black, like the paper was black and they had either pink, blue, or gray/silver, lines around where the filter ends. Does anyone know what brand these are? lol I can't remember it for the life of me!

 

Clove cigarettes, can't remember the name off the top of my head...they're actually less healthy for you than tobacco.

I like cloves, too, but I never buy them. I just bum them off of folks that do.

 

Cherryiceangel-the smokes you are describing sound like Nat Sherman Fantasias. They are really long and skinny, and the papers are all different colors with a gold filter. They are GOOD. The black ones are also Shermans, but I dont remember the name-
Try Sweet Dreams California Dreams...they are a little stronger than the shermans, and the papers are all different pastel colors-so cute.
(hehe, can you tell I used to work at a smokeshop?)

i cant believe, i've only been smoking for 4 years (really wish i hadent started but 16 & nieve), anyway, in the past 4 year i think we've seen 8 tax rises on cigs, a pack of 20 has gone from £3.90 to £4.82!

I'm from Hampshire, in the UK, and it costs me just shy of £10 for 50gms of Golden Virginia rolling tobacco. EXTORTION!!

I think the UK has got to be the worst for overpricing/taxation on tobacco.
