I look back on the times, I see bittersweet pieces of the puzzle pulling together to form a most beautiful picture. I see the decades go by hurridly while time stands still.

The energy emmits from the ashes of a once upon a time fairy tale of a life experience that reached beyond the cosmos into the universal flow of Being.

We were etched into eachothers pages by a likeminded understanding of purpose. We were to expand the threashold of Knowledge, that soared deeper into the phychi of our level of existence that reached beyond the thin line of realities.

It was not about material goods or worldly posessions. It did not discrimanate origon nor religion. It was pure and sacred for all man kind. We were a community of Rock and Roll Jesus's, showing they way to Peace, Love and Goodwill.

It was not just all about the Patry ( ok, so it was). There were other aspects and challenges as well. The VN war, civil rights, women's rights, the eco system, low wages and poverty. Not to mention the Stepford mentality of our nation.

We arrived on a Silver Chord to take part in this change. To bring it about in fluid motion. As we Droped we droped out of socity's rule. We came in colors holding the Golden Key to the City Of Love. How more fitting could it be that we brought to The Haight.

We overcame our social struggle as we blended into the main stream. The Sons and Daughters of america. The ones born out of war and terriny that came to change the course of mankind.

We built our dream inside the City, our walls were thick but yielding to ones of The Light. We opened stores and painted houses, we restored a once decaying neighborhood and brought it to life as we danced in it's streets in celebration of Life and Freedom.

We stood fast with our brothers and sisters against the machine that was devouring our humanity as a people. We saught to break the bonds of slavery working to make the rich richer.

Our quest to bring Equality for all Human Beings and to seek justice to the felonies of the Country against our Human Rights brought great change and we retrived some of the precious pieces of our Humanity.

The party moved when the hard drugs showed up and with all the evil that comes with it. The Pimps looking for young runaways to put on the corner pumped full of heroin and speed. The junkies guttersniping in their nocturnal hunt for degradation.

The ripoffs lined our streets of love and brought a sour note into the rhythem of the flow. All the new eyes were looking outward insteady of inward and our community was in jepordy.

We moved to the counrty, deep in the woods and deserts to raise our babies without CPS breathing down our necks. Some stayed to keep the lamplight lit for the ones still coming.

While we were living our lives we let our quest slip away into our sleeping minds. Like a great Bear hibernating in their warm and cozy cave for the Winter.

The decades flew by and the coming of The Spring of our consciouness has awaken to the driping snowdrifts of why we came. We open one eye to the rays of Eternal Light then the other as we blink ourselves into the NOW of our being.

Tho we be olde,r we gained knowledge and experience of life lived. We have all the power of a lifetime from embreo to antiquity. In all the ancient knowledge we hold can we not still open hearts and minds into our reality of what life is for.

Is our job done. Is there still corrupt government and poverty in our nation, are there still obtroscities happening to childern, the old and the disable. Are we able to cover our expences as our needs grow and our pockets are emptied.

Sould we close our weary eye and ignore it, even tho we know that is was what we came to take part in. Can we sleep easy thinking that it is ok that we did not finish our mission.

Is there a tugging from your innerbeing, nagging at you. Could it be that the Sleeping Bear in you is awakening and you are remembering the plan we agreed to bring into completion.

A Tribute to what we started and hoped would brun like wildfire in the hearts of mankind. A new celebration of the old ways. With all that we have done and gone though, we should be reconized and represented in grand fashion. We need a Museum to preserve and enlighten.

A place where ones can learn our why we came and, what we did, and where it all led and experience it in our Music. The Final Outcome will be up to us and how much energy we are willing to contribute.

If I were a great writer I would write a book, if I were a composer I would compose a symphony, if I were an artist I would paint a mural of our Hippie way.

Somebody made a comment elsewhere today that tickled one of my damaged brain cells, and I'm hoping there's a complete memory here to scratch my itch.

Back around +/- '69 or '70 there was a San Francisco mayor's race and the longhairs stood up a candidate representing the "Platypus Party". I know this happened -- when he mentioned it I recollected something. But I can't remember what year, or who the candidate was.

    Help?

I was gonna say Tony S. The year was 70. I remember bc that's when I came to GE.. Wow.. who says we lose it when we get old, between us we have a great mind, one of intelegence and distintion.

I always thought it took so long to retrive a thought bc we had so many and that some times they hide just to play tricks on us.

    Good Morning Y'all,
It's a chilly Fall morning in East Texas. The logs are blazing in the fireplace, crackling and spitting little embers as it engulfs the woods like an embrace., the coffee is steaming in the pot with an inviting aroma drifting though the house. The clouds seemingly hint a possiblity of rain as they play cat and mouse with the Sun.

Lynn is in his big lazyboy recalling the big Buck that got away, spent from a frutile weekend of hunting. His heart is saddened by the thought of wasted meat, hide and of course the trophy antlers to boasts to his friends.

He will go out again to put meat on our table with high hopes that another legal sized Buck will enter his sights. He so looks forward to the ritual every yr. and I so look forward to making the Deer Jerky that everyone gobbles down.

I have been busy making jewlery and went to the supply house and purchased supplies for my skin products, soaps and candles. I plan on making soaps and lotion today, maybe a few saches'. Only 38 days till Christmas so I got to get ready for my Christmas Sale.

I sold a puppy Saturday and two necklaces' yesterday, so the signs are favorable as I did not have to leave my house to sell them. It leads me to believe that when I get my products visible to the public there is a good chance that I can make my venture profitable.

It's good to see everyone posting.. but I am woried about Cheryl bc her last post was something about sleeping on the beach bc of floods or something like that. I do hope she and her family are alright.

Well, I should get busy and get after them soaps before the Sun get too high, or is that me..lol

:sunny: Hi Jehene, good to see you. Wecome home. I'm not in touch with them but you may get an affirmative answer here form someone. Although it may take some time. Most folks here will drop in, like, every 3 months or 6 months. So, what I'm trying to say is don't despair. If you don't get an immediate Yes from someone who is here on a regular basis, it is still definately well worth checking back in and reading through weekly or monthly to see if you can get your response from a sister or a brother who drops by.

Of course, I remember you! Hey!

May All Love Surround You. All Ways.

    Hi Jehene,
Pisces Patty posted a while back and then forgot her password. She sent be an email to get it reset but it took me a while to find it bc of my mailbox get's flooded with spam. I sent a rsponce to her and told her I would reset the password and to watch for an email from hip forums to confirm. I never heard anything else back from her, I did try one last attempt but to no avail. I do believe Mouseman may have some info on her bc she asked for his email.

Ya know, that's the only drawback of The Hippie Era ( well not the Only drawback) So many children that never got to know their fathers. In some cases that was a blessing, in others a sadness.

My own son Jomie never knew his father and we were married for 3 yrs. He missed something in his life that he always searched for, a father's love.

By the time I got to Good Earth I had been married and divorced twice and I was barely 21. It took me a while before I trusted again. After several more bad relationships I just stopped looking and that's when he found me.

I suppose all that I lived and survived through made me who I am today. My children grown with children of their own, one lays in the arms of Jesus and the other is in the Pen for MJ.

I wonder if I would have taken another path would things have been different. But then I would not known all of you and I would have not met Lynn my hubby. I wonder further if I had lived a straight life would my daughter have been born without Cystic Fibroses and lived to raise her babies, would my son be in jail for smoking pot.

It's a difficult time of the season to be without your children near. Your thankfull for the love you have in your life but you miss the love your without. But things are what they are and we must push pass the what ifs and if onlys and do the best you can with what you have.

Be happy in the moment for that is all we really have, right now. Yesterday is past and cannot be changed, tommorrow is not here yet so you can only hope it will be a good one. Today is where we live and where we make our minds up.

Be thankfull today for tommorrow is not promised.

I hope you will all have a very Happy Thanksgiving and count your blessings.

loving and kind wishes to you all

MARY; God gave us life and we must make the best of it. Two great rabbis said "Everything happens for the best" and I said "you must make the best of what happens" . Llewelyn in HOW GREEN WAS MY VALLEY" said "the past is like a garden and your memory is the gate into it". But you can't live in a memory garden because it's fruits only nourish the soul and not the body. You can't let the sadness of yesterday diminish (or prevent you from knowing) the joys of today and the hope of joys in the future.

AND FOR THE rest of you turkeys I hope you all get the bird tomorrow. But, just in case you don't, imagine me with my hand outstretched, palm up and middle finger extended. Now you've all been given the bird. LOL HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL MY GOOD EARTH BROTHERS AND SISTERS.
    LIVE, LOVE AND ENJOY!!!

Thanks for the Bird Zev and for the call lastnight, how nice of you to think of me.

I hope everyone enjoyed yesterdays blessings of good food, good friends and a damn good time.

After the feast I was amazed that I could get all the leftovers in the fridge, with most of the food in my tummy there is more room in the fridge to place the foodstuff without it buldging out like my belly :)

The weather was very strange yesterday. It was almost 70 at 7am and by 10am it dropped to 60 and by nighfall it was down into the 30s, this morning it's 19,and suppose to warm up to the 60s this afternoon.. wow.. Texas is crazy.

Lynn went out to the Deer Camp after dinner (noon meal) to spend a few days hunting that ellusive buck that keeps taunting him, running up beside his truck as he drives down the road and looking him in the eye and then darting off into the thicket.

Doe season opened yesterday so perhaps we'll have Doe instead of Buck, or maybe both if the wind is with him. I hope he wasnt too cold lastnight. He has a wood burner in the cabin so it was probably warm enough.

We just use the fireplace at home mostly, unless it drops down into the lower teens then we fire up the big ol' Deerborn in the hall way to keep the frost out and the pipes from bustin'. This is a very old house, built in the earily 1900s.

When it was moved here ( from who knows where) it was just a 4 room house with no plumbing, what they call a Shotgun House, with a hallway from front door to back door, with 2 rooms on each side.

Them owners built a cement porch on the front and back, lived and died in the house in the earily 60s, the next owners added on a dining area, put in plumbing, closed in the front and back porches and turned the attic into a huge room with a bath and shower. The owners after that bought the house in 82 and built a back deck with a top o the ground pool at the end of it. We bought it in 1990 and added a room on the back, a deck on the front and and patio on the back. We tore down the deck as it was rotting and sold the pool bc we had too many toddlers running around and it was not built for safety, it was too accessable to the little ones and the twins liked to push each other in.

The changes this old house has been though makes Thanksging even more meaningfull. All the love that was shared here over the century and the children born and raised here, with the echos of their laughter still ringing down the hallway, all the memories this house holds shared in esscents of lives lived. With each generation adding their own touches, a part of themselves leaving their mark behind, as to say This is my home and I lived and loved here.

I can see the little house in my mind and see how far it has come. So much it has seen and heard over the decades from so many different aspects and lifestyles. This is deffinately A House That Love Built.

It reminds me of the folks here, our Good Earth family and extended family. The house that we built that made us a family. There were many homes in our house, it was one in body, mind and spirit. It was a love so big that we needed many houses to store it all in. Each of us bringing what we did to the great table and sharing what we had. Being there for one another and lending a helping hand.

The nostalgia of all the energies of all that our journies have gained, bring together all the sensitivities of creation into our Beings opening passageways to each facet of our existence, giving and taking joyfully with Divine Love. The residue of time gone by.

Tis' the season of Love and Goodwill to all GOD's creatures under the Sun. We gather to join in to celebrate Life and Freedom. We nurish our Spirit as we nurish our Bodies, we drink in the love vibes emullating from each soul. As our Auras mingle we bathe in the Light the energy creates and we Shine.

I shine for you my brothers and sisters. We are blessed to still be a part of something so unique and astoundingly profound it has lasted almost a half a century.

So, Here's to you my comrades of old, my fellow GEer's, It's been an awsome life and I am thankful that you all are part of it.

    Bright Blessings
