I recall once upon a time when the White Panther block patrol got out f hand one night and one of their boys theatened a neighbor at gun point 'What are you doing on our block?'
A meeting was called of the elders of the hood and I saw senior Black Panthers, HAs, and others I had not seen in years. B.J. was there and along with myself, Steve, and some of the afore mentioned elders visited the WPs in the front room of Cole St.
It was quickly pointed out that we represented at least five puonds of experienced muscle and skill to each one they could muster. At that point reason prevailed and they saw the advantage of getting along with the neighbors.
B.J. was a great diplomat!

Maybe she and Frank can gig up in Eugene next year...they appear to be playing across a band from Fresno out to Morro Bay, but if all of us just BUG her enough, I bet they'll "consider the possibilities". I am feeling the KozmiK VorteX wash over the rivulets of what remains of my mind, and I'm not even in Sedona! The String Band Buddha of Virtuous Vibrations is sending out the call......IT'S TIME TO GET BACK ON THE BUS!!!!

I am sorry to intrude on your thread .I have spent the last 3 days reading all the posts here and I can't tell you how much this has touched me . Seeing all of you reunite with each other and all of your fabulous stories of your life is incredible . I read how you all came together for Ranger to get a computer ,Mouseman's lung collapse , Cakes ordeal , wlzey's battle with cancer and it has been one of the most heart rending ,touching things I have ever read in my 45 yr old life . I have always been a hippie ,born in 1965 , now living off the land in Kentucky . You guys are such an inspiration ! I have learned so much of myself just from reading your words . Cakes you should be a writer , your words and way with the english language are so beautiful .I am so happy that you put this all together and your friends keep showing up . You have built it and they have come . This is just beautiful .I hope you all don't mind me posting this .I just had to tell you how moved I am and have been from reading this thread . May God bless each and every one of you and I hope you get to have that reunion someday .Thanks for letting me share in your lives via this thread

I am honored to be part of this magical thread and part of the ppl that make the magic. We are all truely blessed to be able to bring our Merry Band Of Misfits to gather here in unity. It's been a long time coming and we are united once again.

Some of had given up hope to locate our dear brothers and sisters that we went though so much with and learned lessons of great value from one another. Where we go from here is a trip we will take together even if it is through a screen, it is still a bonding method that we can all share at the same time and in the same space.

It warms my heart that something good is happening here, something magnificent that touches hearts and brings heartfelt emotion. When someone find their way home here it's like the prodical son returns.

Ranger, you are truly the Wizard I always believed you were! The synapses that govern kozmik revelations are beginning to resonate on a higher plane....I got "Come Together" pounding in the back of my aural brain! Chuck Bernstein was my ROOMMATE for, IIRC, over a year, and, of course, being the drummer for Ascension, a good friend. Rog, Earl and I had one other roommate, another Debbie, Debbie C, who was ANOTHER old high school friend of mine (I think she was in the same class as Olcese). Chuck and Debbie C were together for some years (still together in '89 when I last saw them both), and Chuck moved in with Debbie in our flat on Page.

A gentleman and a scholar, an inveterate optimist and raconteur, a sharp wit and rapidfire storyteller, possessor of a big heart and insatiable musical curiosity, and, God knows, one of the tastiest drummers on the planet. I just cracked up when I followed your link to Chuck's website.....I see he's become a master player of the berimbau! Heh, must have been all the Baden Powell records I used to play (and still own) that fertilized the seed! I was a Brazilian music freak for a time, still collect a few titles. Chuck turned me on to so much good music....particularly Little Feat and the Meters and I can't recall how many other great influences. He was old school, a student of the great Shelly Manne, a keeper of the Holy Beat and a living link to the San Francisco jazz scene. Thank you so much for the info!

As you see Ranger is vital to our matainance here, he needed that laptop to be of help, that is why I started the donation fund to keep him connected. He is the one that brought most of us GEers together here.

I may have built it, as I longed to reconnect to our family but it was Ranger that filled the pews. He is indeed our Wizard and grandly appreciated for his contributions.

Every post that is placed here is a testiment of our survival and what took place when we united and became a family. So many happenings and startling awareness's. We grew together and we earned our badges of enlightenment.

We shot for the stars and brought the Moon and Sun into our Beings. We tripped the light fantactic as we danced across the universe. We stand before mankind in all our glory and all our worth.

Kenny...If you can get Debbie road ready and fill the rest of the needed player spots, we (CWP/Chaos Lighting) have ALL the PRODUCTION needs from Moving Lights/ Audio/ Video/LED WALLS/etc.

Maybe we can look at this as a "DOWN HOME PORDUCTION" Sheet between Wild Bill and myself I think we have over 40+ years of Touring Productions!

Get a hold of Danny (Spuds boy) and listen to his Chops/talents too. Between everyone here we have every thing as far as players/equipment/tour knowledge/road connects etc. NOW we need the Manager to BOOK THE GIGS BROTHER. Maybe,......maybe, Candace B can offer up a ready lighting design....OH yeah, who is Driving Trucks these days?? I know It is one of the folks in the flow????? We can be self contained and Show ready in a short time. Start with the Clubs and as the word spread expand to the bigger venues!! Its a Rock and Roll SHOW!!!!!! Kenny all you need to do is get the Band togather, book the gigs!!! and.......ROCK and ROLL@@ GET IT TOGATHER BROTHER !!!! CWP will back you on Production side!

I know other folks, too, that got the backing for the 20th Anniversary of the Summer of Love, in Golden Gate Park. The Producers of it. And the 30th and 40th. Big great parties, all. I was the director of operations and logistics for all three of them.

Wouldn't it be fun to start up again and to do one for the kids? (The 30 somethings).
Who's either crazy, or if it is successful, who wants another whole new career path?

Well Kenny as you may know I became a Production Stage Manager after I stopped doing Sound in the old days. I became Andy Williams (Yeah the Moon River M.O.R. Dude for 8 years + I also was David Copperfields PSM for 18 months after his PSM of 10 years left him. those gigs developed a bit stage chops lol. Also Toured The Show Spellbound around the world before it became a Show on the Strip in Vegas. I did have a bit of a slow down in 89 when I healed from the accident at Knotts where my neck was broken. Then out to Branson MO (Bills Home Town) Built the Andy Williams Moon River Theatre then Started up CW Productions. My Company specialized in automated Lighting and Stage Productions. At CWP we did a lot including the automated lighting for alanis M (The Jagged Little Pill Tour, Harry Belafonte, and we put gear on a lot of tours in conjuction with other production houses. Worked with the Deads old Automated Lighting Company..Morpheus a LOT and for MANY YEARS so CWP kinda has a bit of Production Chops. I think we could work togther! lol From Alanis to Pia Zordora and a lot of gigs in between! chit man we may have worked a gig togather!!! Sag Darrell I think may have worked on one of the Booth we did at one of rhe Comdex Shows at the LVCC. SO lets make it happen!!!!!

Got a few connects here and even a few Bus Drivers in my rolly!!

Spent most of my adult (term used loosely) life in the music biz, and can certainly help to promote an event worth promoting. Where and when, and who's coming to play? Let's stage a GE anniversary in the Panhandle at Cole St.

 

Hi TurtleD....way cool I guess the first step is to get the City to issue a permit for a concert???? Dan I also have may have access to a completly GREEN Power Distrobution RIG that is cam lock ready and could maybe power the event if it becomes reality!

Dan are you in Bay area? If so I was wondering if you know Chris S. who owns "THE BROTHERHOOD OF LIGHT" Lighting and Production Company located in the Bay? He is a friend of Terry Lane who still lives in S. F.
