Gaston! That's right. I thought that he was the biggest Kick. Real nice guy.

And Yanique, Yes. And our buddy the room mate with the wool loom is Jean Claude. Is that correct? It's so confusing because everybody is Jean-something or other.

And I remembered! Miriam. She was nick named the Belgium Begonia, buy some folks.

    Cool, thanks.

    Wah,

Sorry about Candy. Sad. Not sure I knew. Maybe in the background of it all. Was never introduced. Sad that she's gone.

Got and edited your Tale of life's little adventures. Thanks man. I was not expecting it. Cool. So, Woodstock by way of Bolder, Colorado, coming from Maryland. A great SAGA of the Times. The descriptions. Draft. D.C. Nam, the scene. Very nice!

    Thanks.

Love the "Green Thing" as well.

    Peace, K

Rita here on Ranger's page...I have been reading from page one for the past couple of hours and have only made it to page 18! So many trinkles of memories it's been hard to stay on track, lol but right now I am thinking Kenny, what the hell's the problem getting stories for the book? It's all right here!

Skip the owner of this Hipforums website has a copyright claim on the bottom of every page. He can if he wants to, sue us for everything that we make and force us to Stop selling our own Book. See the bottom of this and any page. If you put it in here (a story), then he owns it.

Now, if you totally retell your story from scratch, Brand new, then that's a whole different thing!

There can be, legally, two totally different stories about the same topic. Does that make sense?

But you can't just copy and paste the existing story here, and do a very light "gloss over" rewrite. That is plagiarism, and courts deal with it all of the time. It's the same as theft.

He owns it so we can't steal it back. We'll be super fucked if we do.

    Make sense?

So, if anyone had a story HERE. You would need to start retelling it from scratch. Make a whole new story. That's the only way.

We could make a book with 200 brand new stories in it and if there was only 1 ripped off story in the book, we would lose everything and be fined are asses off one top of that. I'm talking your Social Security and your rent money too. A court would find against ALL of us.

So, you can see my precaution.
If we put one thinly rewritten story in, then we may as well NOT bother to write a book at all.

    Love you.

Trust me, if this becomes a Smash Hit, then people will want a piece of it. They will try. I don't want to loose the van that I just finally bought. Cakes and Lynn don't want to loose their farm. When I finally do get my Social Security, I don't want to be fined by court order to pay half of it for the next 10 or 20 years.

The guy that we work on books for, at one point he thought that it was a hell of a deal to pay only $40,000.00 when he had a problem with a publishing company. And they never worked with him again. A real story.

    Someone:
Recently had to shit can 50 Stories. And ask for 1,700 dollars back from the author. Totally miss the contact deadline with the publishing house. Risking losing a half million dollar a year client. All because of blatant plagiarism by that author.
Plus pay for the 50 stories to be rewritten by other authors.

    Some Fun Huh.

ok Kenny, we are hippies and can deal with this! btw, this rain we got did something to me..been up since 6 a.m., took Ranger into Prescott for a va appt., did a little shopping at Trader Joe's, came home and have been chatting on line since then about the Haight, plus going back reading our forum here, out of pain!! and heard something on the radio about blueberries and strawberries...told Ranger we have both of those so he suggested strawberry shortcake so right now at almost midnight I am making shortcake and I even have whipped cream...this is not my normal these days self!!! Maybe since I am coming up to 65, I am reverting back to my long ago super hyper self..that would be so cool!

Yeah. The rain was awesome here. Yesterday very gray morning. At about 8, one big thunder boom. Just one. And then Ka-plooge. And I looked out the window 15 minutes later and the ground was soaked to death, and the Sun was coming out. All gone.

The Sahuaros are all in bloom! In broad daylight. This are night blooming only, plants. Talk about yer global change.

Keep running with your newly found 18-year-old energy. You deserve the new lifestyle. We all do. It's time to "Dance through Life!" All of us.

Strawberry shortcake with whipped cream at midnight. We should do stuff like that every night! Keep it up.

And by all means, keep getting him out of the house, all of the time. So, what if he wines. The medicine ain't suppose to taste good. He needs it. Make him 18 once again. Just like you!

    Good morning, Mary!

If I had a big ladder, I would mail you some big white Sahuaro flowers. But they are way up high.

I'll send you there energy, instead.

It's cold outside, in a day after a morning rain, and there's a woodpecker clacking a hole into the apartment building outside.

Hey can't you erase your stuff from this site if you like?? Just curious. Because if Hip gets to own all postings (and I am sure you know of what you speak )maybe we can cut and past our past post and then just delete them??????

VERY surprised to hear that something I may have posted can now become the total property of this place......But I also understand contracts and maybe when we sign up here and all the stuff you have to read before you get able to post tells you that you lose your rights to your info! I KNOW it becomes public as anyone can come here to read but never being able to tell the same story again??? REALLY. BASTARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So we can expect the best of Hip Forumns written BY the masses but owned by the Hip Forumn folks!

My lips will be sealed now here!!!

    well semisealed..

Basically a copy and paste would by its self make a really shitty story. If you take a look at any posting, you will see that.

Two paragraphs of abbreviated jargon that is understood in the context, between you, and Cakes, and me, is totally NOT telling a tale in a book to the “Every Reader”. Does that make sense?

Stuff that you read in books is not full of: “LOL, BTW, you remember, you know what I mean, and Yeah, it was like that.” No post is a book story.

Answer: Yes Cakes can. However, tha does not necessarily that the owner can not see or find the item. It’s on his own server, and it could still be there on the server. And we would never know that.

Answer: We could do that, but why take that kind if a Risk, with thousands of hours of project work time on the line and hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of your and our money on the line. (Earnings) Why would we want to do that and take that risk, when we can simply write a new Clean and Far Better original story?

You can do a copy and paste but the sentence structure of every sentence has to be recontrived. Restructured as to be NOT similar to the first. Do a Search for “plagiarism, definition” and look at the exact.

Using copy and paste as a framework for creating a wholly new Work, is a different case. However the resultant Work has to be completely different, to any reader’s mind. Or Juror’s mind. Or Judge’s mind.
Same subject or situation, a whole different telling. That’s okay.

Answer: All most everyone who creates a website claims a copyright to all content.

    Hipforums page:
    http://www.hipforums.com/privacy.htm

    Read:
    Copyright Statement
    All artwork and pictures.
    And read:
    Submissions

It’s a pretty clear claim. And a legal contract.
A website is looked upon as a publication, just like a magazine is. The very fact that it is published, witnessed by the public, at a date that is before our book publications first date, proves that they have it first. Legal evidence, 101. Who was first?

Someday we will sell enough E-Books to give us half of the money and save back half of the money for a first edition real book printing. The book printing money is your money too.

So, we collectively pay to a book printing and book binding company $200,000.00 to make us 20,000 copies of our book to sell on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and at college and university campus book stores everywhere. Cool?

Let's say that we even have massive book orders from them already. Like $400,000.00

Now, all of a sudden just because of one story or just because of one picture in the book, we get sued and we loose. The court orders that our truck load of boxes of new books be handed over them the court to be destroyed. Plus we pay out the ass who knows how much.

    Get it?

Do you think that it is worth the risk? Would you want to be the person who's story it was?

LOL SO like I said Hip can use all our scribbles and have a ghost writer fill in the blanks or spice the posts up anyway they like and put out the Hip Forumns Book of Psalms of the 60/70s! LOL

Kenny quit giving them IDEAS HERE lol..........

Sorry I am laughing Kenny as I KNOW you are tring to light fires under folks to document their storys. I also seriously doubt, in fact I KNOW that you do not lose YOUR RIGHTS to your content and the rights to publish your content because you have put your posts and pictures on a web site or forumn! BUT I also understand that the Sites can ALSO USE the content FREE from payment to you if it is in their use agreements that you(the user) agreed to upon signing up,

See all I do is cause trouble!!!!!!!!

Hey I have this million dollar IDEA it is..................................and he fades away!!

Do not worry all and peace and love to all

COME TO THE OCF way eaiser way to maybe document stuff.. JUST AN IDEA!!!
