Charles Darwin called it “natural selection” Only the smarter ones lived to breed. Grow yer potatoes in the bus.

Ya See? That's what he gets for being that way. I totally listen to my lady all of the time and then she works and brings in almost all of the money, and drives and does all of the shopping, and she takes out all of the trash.

She doesn't touch any pots and pans. And I do dishes mostly. There is a machine. And I'm a great cook. She brought home chicken breasts last night and said, Can you make that breaded fried chicken again?"

Sure. The secret? store "Italian Seasoned bread crumbes" with egg dip, do a double breading, and very slow low frying pan cooking, so that the thick breasts can cook through while the breading turns golden browns very slowly without burning, in much corn oil. There's the trick.

This is fun and all but i thing that I've got to go back to sleep now.

My brother is driving up to far East Oregon in 4 weeks. Right next to Idaho. Should I get him to FedEx you 10 lbs of potatoes? N/Y

If Lynn doesnt get to drive his tractor he gets cranky. His habits are SET IN STONE. He has not changed in all his 55 yrs and has no plan to. It is what makes him, him.

Ppl that knew Lynn when he was in school and see him after a long time always say, Lynn is exatly the same as he was when he was littler. Being that he is extreamly dependable and that is just one of his many vast charms.

I fell head over heels with him the first time we met as he did with me. I do not want him to change. I like him the way he is.

If we run out of potatoes , he will drive to the market and get some, or we will trade peas or corn for taters.

And if the rain never ceases we will not grow potatoes but will grow rice.

It would be kind'a rough to become some kind of self sufficient survivalists after the Big End of the World, if you can't even keep some potatoes alive. LOL

Natural gas would be cool if we could find any mineral rights left. I was thinkin' maybe a few turbine windmills to generate our own power and pulling up water at the same time.

Ranger you r spot on!! The pelton Wheel with a good HEAD of water makes the electricty and it can be high or low voltage and stored in batterys!! We do it already and up in Orygun I have seen the coolest system ever up at R Ls place below AV. AND yes make our own natural gas... METHANE...... can run our combustion motors and can even be stored in OLD GIANT inner tubes if needed! Sustainability can be done on small levels and on large ones just takes folks DOING IT!!

I am currently on the quest to convert my new(old 1978) House on Wheels(my Grand daughter calls it that), our Revcon to Dual fuel and run on Natural Gas or Propane. Have not made final decision as CNG can come a bit more eaiser IF the Crap economy crashes as propane is not quite as eaisly obtined if we need to depend on NATURAL creation...the propane has added stuff and is actually a bit lower octane.... BUT MM used to run the Starship on Propane/Gasoline and he can attest to the FANTASTIC FUNCTIONALITY of doing this!!

It can be done so I hope to finalize my mind on which way to go and get er done soon!! Then I will be Off grid In Halawa and OFF GRID in the House on Wheels!! The House on Wheels already has Solar helping keep my Batterys stay at capisity already!....Just need to KEEP ON TRUCKING!!

Then there is also the methane from HUGE compost piling from gardening too! But just MORE abilitys to do it if you really want to!!

Glad a lot of you all still have your Ordaination papers still too!! Lots of "Church Folk here" lol

    No Popes needed tho Kenny!!

At least one other option. There is/was a Rainbow bro (Silver Bear) had found old war time plans for a wood burning truck/bus and he was well known for the pot bellyed stove hanging off the rear of his bus.

I am still seeing a vineyard, all good church's have vineyards. Of course we should have Orchards and Vegetables also, and raise our own meat, for thoes of us that eat meat.

I see this Mission type set up: A greathouse, made from Adobe with tile floors, where we prepare and gather for meals, have our meetings, conduct buisness and where we have our Chaple and offices.

The living quarters are semi circle on either side of the greathouse forming a cicular courtyard. The living quarters are apartments connected to one another as they form the opened end circle driveway.

The apmts will have wide sidewalks so we can sit and visit outside and enjoy the day or work on our crafts while we delight in the fona flora and exotic flowers and fruit trees in the middle of the courtyard displaying a vast amount of color, fragrance and texture to our visual and scentual pleasure.

There will be a electric golf cart for each apmt for us to get around the property in. We will have a couple of trucks, a few buss's and a car or two for trips to town, if you have your own ride that's fine too. The vehicals except for the golf carts will be parked in the garage behide the greathouse next to the patio.

Our facilitie will also contain a Shelter to house wayfarers. There will be RV hookups in that area also, for visitors w/RVs. Our energy source will come from The Wind, Sun and whatever other natural source is availble.

The residents will be required to pay 100.00$ a month to pay for upkeep of the buildings. As we are a Church I am thinking we would be tax exempt but in case we have to pay land tax this $ would go for that also. All residents must be members of the Church and pay tides/dues in the amount of 1$ per month.

Behind the buildings and further into the Valley there will be a vineyard, carrying our Good Earth lable, an Orchard and our Vegetable Garden. To the left of that will be our livestock.

On the right side of the facility a little ways from the 'house' will be our Museum. I will not elaborate on this bc it is Kenny's project and is still in the works.

I think we should be able to posess a hand gun and rifle each, for selfprotection and hunting. I see no reason to stockple fire arms as we are peacefull and that is not our purpose.

I see this for all of us. Of course we will have workers as we are of retirement age and ability. There will be a 'bunkhouse' for workers. We can pay these worker with some of the profit we make from the wine, fruit and veggies.

Well, that's what's on my mind this earily mornin'..
