    Hey Kenny,
Do you think it may be possible to get Owsely ( Bear) to write a story for our book, he was after all a GE brother. and perhaps Artie Kornfeld ( woodstock promotor) might like to write a piece also. I think it would boost sales if they contributed.. that would be cool to have the famous as well as the infamous :)

Hey Cakes, et al (who's al?)
I used to have a good friend (sailing buddy) who raised Cockatiels (sp?): those pretty white birds with the cool thingy on top of their heads. Jim (that was his name) would spend his Summer at his place up in the woods in Oregon raising these birds. *Cockatiels are normally wild, and actually illegal to import. Jim had a mating pair that would do their thing and produce eggs (duh!) which would hatch and he would have to hand feed to get them used to people. Jim used to get $1500 per bird (or, maybe per pair). Jim would do 4-6 or more birds during the Summer, and then went down to live on his sailboat on the Sea of Cortez (Mexico) for the Winter. Jim was a wonderful brother who (three years ago) passed away of cancer while living on his boat. I was lucky enough to get to play my pipes (he loved my pipes) and say goodbye to him just 3 days before he went over.*

Live your lives the way you want: this ain't no dress rehearsal.

    Love,
    Mouseman

Cakes, I can receive e-mails. You can send to me. I just can't send out any e-mails. But I can send from Mary Jo's machine if necessary.

I would very much love to hear Mouseman's tale about knowing folks in the Haight, and then the day that they picked him up at the front gate at treasure island Navy, and the face on the Marine in the gate guard house. The day that he got out. It's a scream!
Maybe three pages. Then you could read it Cakes. You'll piss.

Hi Mouseman, drive by and stop here! Please.

I've got 3 great starter tales from 3 people about their lives before they came to San Francisco and their travels. Great stuff. Very well written ad expressed.

Each person was going to write their big dream crescendo about how awesome it was when they got to the Haight or to the Blue House. Beyond imagination. Each, a Part 2.

I'm still hanging on the cliff.

    Zev? Darel? Chris?
Ya'll can go and read their first parts. Each is insanely well written. Totally different. Cliff hangers, all.
Zev is intriguing and mythical, yet real. Darel is funnier the shit. Chris is one big great adventure interwoven with more adventures. Each is very different. I love that!

BTW M "al" is "all." LOL

Hi Cakes, Yer not taking to yourself. Really. Sometimes it just sounds like it.
And most of the time it's good to answer yourself. LOL

Actually, Owsely is the one who died two years ago now. You remember. He would have had some great stories.

You could put it out there to Artie if you would. That would be cool. He might have some great campfire tales.

As I said, I want it to be all "hippie" not just G.E.

There's a you gal in another forum here who wanted for me to write a bunch of stuff all about "flower children" so that she could hear the tales of the "real" flower children. She's right. That would sell very well to the general public. I hadn't ever thought of that as a topic out there. But it is.

I don't know how many "flower children" I can find in Good Earth. Maybe Mousemen. He might meet that criterion. Perhaps a few who we know.

I always though of myself as just some cat. Not quiet really as a "Flower Child."
But I can change that if it will help to sell our cause and our tales. What the heck. Hey chick. I'm a "flower child." "LOVE"

    Cool. LOL

Say hi to Artie. I keep saying, the book is for everybody. It's about everybody. Tell him two or three pages. Shorts. Sex Drugs and rock an roll. And GOD. Don't forget GOD.
    And LOVE.

One of my wishes was that someone still had some of his paintings...when he died he was living in his studio that he shared with friends. Grandma said she would spilt up the art with us. But nothing...she had major issues so it is unclear if she sold everything or was ripped off.

Ranger, read the dam thing. At lease some of it. Okay? Your just sitting there in the trailer day after day. Read two stories. Rita, read to him.

    Hey girl!

Got no idea of his painting. I had moved to a waterfall in a desert canyon. I didn't even take my own art. Just a pack and my lover.

But you are putting it out there in the right place. If anyone might know, that might just be here. To bad that not as many people are here that use to be around here years ago. But keep the faith.

mea cupa...I did not mean to be a fly by...lol!

Boogie...That's one of 'son's and daughters of Cyril' stories I pretty much have pieced together...yes his mother was illegial and gave him to Cyril, put his name down on the birth certificate. Nanci did raise him with Cyril while they were together he and hope are almost the same age and Heather about two years younger. Around the same time he had young blood and Ohana (can't remember her birth name)
Eventually Nanci and Nate's (aka young blood) mom moved on and Boogie stayed. Cyril raised him on and off until he was 12. He was taken in my a grade school teacher Cyril had left him with.
So out of 10 confirmed and 23 report children Boogie was with him the longest

    G'mornin' Everybody,

    Mouseman Dearest,
I had "7 cockitiels" a few yrs back. I had them lining my kitchen windows. I had "4" parakeets also at the same time. I loved the Tiels' but they made such a mess with their seeds and pooped was flying everywhere. I had them for 5 yrs.

I had trained a couple of the Tiels to talk. But I got so tired of the mess I gave them away. I had a pair that were mating and had two eggs and then all of a sudden the Mama was dead. The pair were in a huge cage and the female use to do tricks. I think she was showing off and broke her little neck. She was my favorite. Cockitiels mate for life and the male wouldnt except any other female. It was sad, he was so lonely, you could tell a difference in him.

It has not been easy for us. We're always trying, busting our ass's to get er done. At first things work out and run soothly and then it falls to pieces somehow and the bottom falls out.

But you know, we keep on trying, we keep on putting it out there, trying something new every few yrs. It doesnt matter what the Universe throws at us, we catch it and throw it back..lol

    love and huggins

Thank you Kenny...this site was the closet answer to years of prayers for alot of my siblings as well as myself
I have four children myself...2 homemade and 2 ready-made...and like it was mentioned being a Mama I know who my kids are. Also weather my kids like it or not they know where my art/writings are...
He has at least 23 grand kids and the only ones he ever saw were 2 of mine...That is just to sad.

And a safe place to vent...
