It's hard to know Kenny, what ppl like. I just dont want my stuff to get in the way of it being a great book. I have read so many great wrritings and it's hard to see myself being good enogh to sell copy. Thanks for the pep talk..lol

I heard from Saro, she has lost her password and I'm trying to get her back in the garden. She has some stories she was to add to the book about her and Billy Vaga's life together.

She sould be back n, in no time.

Ranger, I read both your stories. Very cool indeed. I hope to read more and more. Keep em coming, they're great. Rita you crank out a page or two also. II know you got some stuff to add.

Kenny, I love what you're doing with the book. I can see it hitting the best sellers list it's first week on the market. We're finally doing something with our experiences. We can use some of the royalities to fund the museum. We got it going on brother>>> struts her stuff around the room.. hell yeah we do.

I'm writing three books, one has a bit about the Good Earth but not too much.

I'm looking forward to reading what has been written. Maybe that will trigger my memory. It's terrible. For example, I saw Ira Eisenberg as one of the member's fb friends. I know that name as well as I know my own name. But I can't for the life of me recall how I knew him!!!!!

Write up your stories in email and send them to kenny email. he will add them to the layout as we go along. Date them so he can keep them in a time frame. U know of when the happening occured. Names are kinda tricky for me too, it was a long time ago and we did er' induldge in the pleasures of the day. Do the best you can. I find as I write things come to mind and remind me of names and time frames. I use my kids ages as marker of the yr by their age..lol.. it works.

 

Ira was around GE and the Down Home Nasties for a while. He does documentarys for the big time media but with a good honest approach. He did one on the haight in the '70s. I remember him as bsically good folks.

 

Being in the biz branch of the family I spent much time and engery learning to forget names if I heard any!!! Now where did I put that file??? Dang it!!!

 

I wonder where Mouseman is with his tales of hgh adventure. Where'd everyone go, there was about 15 of us here, now it's just a handful of us... LAZY HIPPIES get to typin'. I'll make brownies for you if you do<3

If we got 10 of us at least to send in something, it would sure speed up the process of getting the book written. It would take just us a yr to fill the 500 pages. I would love to see it out by Spring of next yr. I do feel it's time ppl heard what was happening in the day to day lives of the hippies by the hippies themselves. Not all about the political side or the protests side, but what went on in the houses and what was happening on the street. When it was beautiful and when the change begun. What made us leave and what made us stay. How we felt about life and the grand scheam of things and what we were doing to change ourselves into the human beings we wanted to be.

It would also be a good resource for learning about love and what kept us together all these yrs. The ones that were there together feel the same bond that soilders feel for their comrads. We were fighting our own war here in the state against the governments hold on society and their money.

I tought Kennedy was cool, but they shot him.. they shot his brother too. Them, they's that do these dasterdly deeds in the name of patiatisum. Well, I degress

Ronnie & Hasha must be Rhonda, Sharon's sister & her boyfriend? I forgot her name but just remembered it last night. I've tried searching for Sharon's but how ya gonna find someone named Sharon King, especially when you don't know her maiden name.

Ya know, back when I was spending two months of my life getting paid as a freelancer to layout this book for press, edit things that the professional copy editor had missed, and then later receive the Red Line marked up printouts from the professional proofreader and make all of those changes in the layout, all of the writers had iron clad contracts first, specifying massive monetary and legal penalties, And NONE of Them ever got to SEE any of the other author’s articles.

That just NOW occurred to me.

And I think that I’ve done 10 of the big book jobs so far. In my past seven years as a professional, NO WRITER EVER SAW ANYOTHER WRITES' WORK.

Currently Cakes, and Ranger, and I are the only people who are reviewing the edited stories on the web. Maybe Chris as well. Although he’s yet to get back to me with any e-mails about what he thinks of a particular story. So, I don't know for a fact that he has reviewed any stores or gone to the location.

But you know what?
The three or four of us are the Publishers and Managing Editors on this Projects.
That’s WHY.

So, that’s normal.


Other writers? Nowhere else in the world is that industry standard. And for a very good reason.

Well whatever she was implying by that I do not know?? One thing I do know the last thing you need is ATTITUDE. That is just my opinion, that is my feelings. I did not know or realize that this had esculated into a scene. Well I guess we can use it
Somebody got their feelings hurt and that was never meant to happen. Saro, as a writer yourself you have to know that internet piracy is frequent, I dont think you would want to show your work before it was copyrited on the internet.
I have inquired over in a different site to some of the ones I knew and they cant place you, I do not remember you, but that dont mean nothing, I dont remember a lot.
It has nothing to do with clicks, not all of us here 'hung out' together but we did know each other and did see each other everyday.

It has nothing to do with your Worthiness either, you are a worthy human being no matter where you are.

Kenny, Ranger/Rita and me ( and a few SILENT partners) have formed a buisness arrangement and are involved in several ventures. The Book is just one of them. We have other websites that are private untill we have a finished product. Some have acess to one or two sites depending on what they are working on. Only the above mentioned have acess to all of them.

Kenny is right to protect our intrests.

Yesss, there was cliquishness in GE some with good reason most not. With some of us it was a matter of biz security as with me and the Nasties and with the third floor of the Blue House although a good bit of the cliquishness/elitism was encouraged by those who put up with it and didn't call others on their shit. I was aware it was happening, but thought that unless the offended party asked my help my jumping in would do no good because we all needed to learn to speak up and stand up for ourselves and our brothers and sisters when asked.
For that matter Saro as much time as Billy and Leroy spent at thge Nasties, I don't recall being invited to ya'll's place hardly ever if at all. Not that I was offended at the time.
