Hi all two mentions of energy focus. AND BOTH ARE EASILY DONE

1st. NOT to divert energies here BUT we also need to continue with the ENERGY PUSHING re: The HEALING VIBERATIONS side of things!! Ellen shall be added to my Prayer wheel along with Brad and Peter. Ranger is on his feet and that means these are important! Cannot forget to vibe these healing thoughts, EVER, as that is part of all of our beliefs..RIGHT??.

2nd. Hey Kenny re: FORWARDS to the book like David T, Larry K,...there is also Tony Sera ESQ, as he was one of the Hipster Legal Begals of the time. He may be able share or comment regarding the fight to stay living and loving, a voice to speak about the legal wrangling and fights of the time. As long as it does not hurt any old Clients!! lol He is still around. Also Rock Scully MIGHT also add to Forward as Rock was the Deads manager at the time and has since written his own book. He is contactable (is that a word??). Rock lived with TL in Marin while he finished his book. His book is a story of the time. Maybe Yorma or other Airplane members at time could add a sentance to forward, as the Painting/installing window flower boxes at the Airplanes house is a Story in and of itself I would imagine. Also maybe one of the old Roadies who were part of the Hard Truckers, as I recall Not only G.E. but many of the flo would be utilized by the "HARD TRUCKERS" when ever Concert/Show set up and tear downs were needed for these events. Get as many BLURBs in forward as possiable as this adds ligitamacy to those who will READ this.

MOST of the "target market" folks for this had no Idea of these things and will love new stories! Kids these days eat these things up and want to know MORE..MORE...MORE about back in the day!!

Kenny your energies will continue the progress with this Book. You are on fire with this project!! You have Nails sending you stuff daily I suspect!! Give you a little fuel and you BURN baby BURN (in a good way!).

Also, the endorsments on cover or LINER NOTES, like the BBHC album cover is a very cool idea! I think you may want to add a small map of the area as a fold out showing important places. Like the Houses locations )Lower Cole, upper Cole, Underhouse/whitehouse, Oak St, Panhandel Park, Kesar Stadium, Straight Theater, Dunkleys Liquor, The Chinamans store, the GE co-op locations etc. It may be cool for readers to see where things were to reference them as they read the book. You know like the Middle Earth maps in the L.O.R. Trilogy!

Wow, Thanks for joggin' my memory Chris. I have a story about the straight theater. I get it out in the morning to kenny. Kenny. I am gonna have the book filled with just my first few yrs in the haight. I have one with George Harrison too.. that will be a short one bc it was a shot meeting. I know, more name droping. I have been writing stories for our book since 4:30 am. well one anyway. I did manage to get it finished and sent off to Super Special K

I know Chris Wah and Kenny are writing bc it posted. I'm wondering where all the ppl that say they have stories to tell are not telling them. Go To You Email And Write A Story and send it to Kenny for the book. The sooner we get the pages filled the soner the book will be finished and ready for publication.

What are you wating for?? If ya dont like to type record the stories on tape and send them to Kenny, or do the record thingy on the computer save it and email it to Kenny. Yer holding up the parade with your reluctence. You know you got a ton of shit trying to get out and on paper, so just let it flow folks.. All you peeps that post here get with it.

Our lives are unique, we lived it like no others in our society. We experienced more in this life time then most would in ten lifetimes. There have been books, movies and tales about the 60s/70s but most of them were written by journalists the observed and not really were part of The Happening ecept for them capturing it in their own inturpratation.

We lived it, we rocked it. It was us and ones like us that did the doing of it. We have a story from the nitty gritty, the horses mouth, we are the ones that made it what it was. It sould come from the Hippies of that Era, it should be told by the ones that created it.

Who could match us. All the hippies, including all the hippie ranches and stores all the hippie philsophy and accomplishments and challenges we endured. It's our experience and we should be the ones telling it.

I was thinking bout how to get ur stories to Kenny for the book. I know you told him some over the phone. I'm wondering if he could call you and record a story a week or every few days on his answering machine since neither of you have tape recorders.

So, later in the day my wife is sitting on the can and Scully pushes the bathroom door in and tells her to suck him off. She looks at him like he's out of his mind and says, "Get the Fuck out of here."

He gets pissed off and says to her, "Okay. You're dead in Rock 'n' Roll."

She throws a bar of soap at him and says, "I was never in Rock 'n' Roll to begin with you asshole."

I was thinking of people who's noterity could help you to intice READERS. The readers who you want to PAY for the storys will not care about the fact that the folks OF THAT TIME said stupid mean poo. Weather you like them or not people today want to know the storys LIVED. The readers also THRIVE on TABLOID POO too. If the Storys you want to document are to sell you will need some more well know characters than wickwah!! Readers I assume want to hear from those who are still alive to tell them! lol

What you quoted is in and of itself a story of attitude that also was changing and flourishing at the time! Politeness was declining in a big way then too as you may recall especially if you did not "LOOK" right!! Plastic fantastic...........

Remember Bill G. at times WAS THE BIGGEST arsehole of them all. Go ask Mountain Girl (Carolyn A) and I am quite sure she could tell you a lot of NASTY comments made by Bill. At times he did not want her in the building!!! BUT without him (BG) the music we so love and followed would not have been as available to the masses! BG as an ARSEHOLE made it happen.! I assure you it was always on Bills terms!! Shoot I said a lot of crap too!! lol That is what happens with us idiot humans!! ESPECIALY if you were part of fame and fortune!! LOL

But hey if it is just the fun, free love, concerts, close calls and Getaways, stick to those, call it the HIPPIE PARTY! We sometimes tend to forget the REAL BAD stuff that I assume we all either saw or were part of. A lot of time it was NOT love and Peace!! But hey Kenny and Cakes I think that just with your folks energy you can make a best seller.

I have remained with the same woman since 1973 and we all did stuff to STRAIN, COMPLAIN, and even distroy very good things along the way!! Part of the story is how we all have made it to now.

In my opinion a good read has a lot of (now hum the theme song from) "The Good, The bad and The Ugly. As that was/is also a big part of the WHEEL. Then make the point that those who made it to now may be able to reignite the parts of life that truly matter....Love thy Brother and Sister like you love yourself.

If you want the tales from the folks who lived them to be told by those who lived them and NOT by those who just reported on them then you will hear about the CRAP too!! OR just do a book on the FUN times figureing how to "Outwit, outlast, and outplay" the game of life as we knew it then! Oh wow that is the theme of Survivor the T.V. show! We ain't on T.V.

But I guess the way to make the big bucks is to romantisize the fact that we were young and free, and here are some great TALES as we have made the "LONG STRANGE TRIP"!!

That is probally the best way to rake in the dough I suppose! And as long as the DOUGH goes to making the best, healty bread, for those who need it then it will be a good thing. Can that be insured?

I think that we are now OLDER and STILL FREE and the way we got here is a unique story of our Generation that still has not been told by enough players of the time...YET!!

As Neil Young paraphrases...OLD MAN take a look at yourself you are a lot like me! OR I'm a lot like you! Both ways it is true BUT the youts of today who think they want to emulate our lives need a true Primer as there are a lot of lazy minds out there.

I think that the POWERS who are now in control (are still the same powers!!) and they want more lazy and stupid masses more than ever before. Re-ignight the flames of freedom with the storys of the past! Do not sugarcoat it as too much sugar is part of the problems we see today!

We were/are the generation that said we can change the world! R we showing good examples? Do we live the way we preached? Do we make clean power on INDIVIDUAL levels for our selves? Or do we scream at Government to do it for us? Do we make it happen or just bitch if it does not happen!!

OPPS SORRY! I need to get off the soapbox now and get back to doing what I can do only!!! Hopefully my kids will see that the values that I picked up have been incoporated in MY LIVING and if they feel that they are good ones they will make them better and stronger!!

If it weren't for BG we'd all be Family Doggers and the name going big in history would be Chet Helms. BTW it was us and the crew from the Shady Groove/US Cafe that were the only ones able to get a permit to put the Dead & the Airplane on stage togeather for a free concert in GG Park. We did have to let BG have the video rights to use his million dollar insurance policy, but he couldn't get the permit and had tried for years to get it.

Mountain Girl?....How about Wavy & Calico? After all the first few days they were in town they parked their buses on the Panhandle and crashed at the Blue House.

 

Exactly Ranger.......BG did not get the Permits BUT BG had the Insurance that allowed the permits to be gotten and he steped up to provide the Insurance rider!! AND BG GOT THE RIGHTS to the big money!!!! Just business man just business......

anyhoo Kenny Just in Rangers post is ANOTHER story for you Kenny!! Run with it. Hugh and Kitten parking bus at Oak Street is ANOTHER story too!! Ranger that was right after some concert on a farm NY State I think wasn't it? Two or three stories in just one post!!

Kenny more flo storys...Incororate the EPPs over in Berzerkly, Also the 59ave (I think that was the address of old hog farm house on Oakland Berkeley line) when they became the wake up call center,,,the attempt to enter the making money through CALL CENTERS was 30 years ahead of its time!
