This section is not for Non-Christians. It's restricted.

Ghosts, vampires, werewolves, witches, and zombies: These have long been associated with the evil spirit world. (Halloween Trivia) The Bible clearly states that we should oppose wicked spirit forces, not celebrate with them.

As someone who was raised attending Sunday school every Sunday in an Anglican Church, never was halloween discouraged and was actually encouraged, it does have pegan roots and recognition of traditions within Christianity, Christians adopted some of these traditions ... they kind of merged into one. What is wrong with that? Same with aspects of Christmas and Easter, are you going to stop celebrating those too?

Halloween has become a day where kids can be kids, and is not just for specific religions to participate in. But I think that any Christian who turns its back in Halloween is not only ignoring their own faith historically, but more importantly is deny children the joy that this day brings them. They do not go out trick or treating thinking of pagans and religion... they go out thinking, cool, I get to dress up and get candy! It is a part of our culture.

This year it was funny, this girl comes to the door and she is just dressed normal, so I said, where is your costume, then he spoke, I am a boy. I seriously thought he was a girl and told him so, His mom started to laugh and so did the kid. I told him he had the best costume.

Yes it is the day the dead walk the earth. All Hallows' eve, the face carving was to ward off evil spirits.

When I do pumpkins I don't think of this, even though I know the background, I think of it as as a nice lantern festival and causes kids to ohh and ah over pumpkins. It is for them and their joys of youth.

And what verse is that which says Halloween is evil and kids dressing up as things on halloween makes them a wicked spirit force?

Let's see, I had a butterfly, a ghost, who knows if he was an evil one, several princesses, a pumpkin, an orange crate, a girl, Rick from the walking dead who fights off zombies, a tiger, a business man, a Jedi! Cleopatra and the cutest 3 year old batman too. Hmmm. Yep I can see the problem there. Lol

All of those things are make believe though, based on old superstitions we now know aren't real. How can something that isn't real be evil?

Halloween has nothing to do with paganism. It's an overly commercialized holiday aimed at propping up the costume and candy industries.

It is capitalism at its finest.

I only celebrate two things each year. 1 is my marriage anniversary and the other is a Bible commandment to observe the memorial of Jesus Christ death

    Luke 22:19
19 Also, he took a loaf,+ gave thanks, broke it, and gave it to them, saying: “This means my body,+ which is to be given in your behalf.+Keep doing this in remembrance of me.”+

Oh here and noxious wants to say that the Jehovah Witnesses wrote their own Bible this is the King James version of Luke 22:19
.19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brakeit, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
