First of all, For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of god. However to enter heaven (a perfect place) one must be born again. So the question is: Have you ever been BORN AGAIN?

 

If you just break one of the laws of the Bible you are no longer pure. Are you saying that you are sinless because one must be sinless to enter the kingdom of heaven. However, you see thats where Jesus comes in. He makes us pure through his blood but you have to be born again. See john 3...

 

Whoever says they are without sin is a liar and there is no truth in them. And yes all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. In order to enter heaven we must be perfect. So then how does one enter a perfect place when they themselves are not even close to perfect. JESUS. One must be born again and have a personal relationship through prayer with Jesus Christ for he is the ultimate sacrifice. He is the Lamb of God.

 

how do you become born again? in christian terms, that is

Spiritually that is. Youre born again when you accept Jesus offer of salvation and decide to live for Him.

In the rules of the Old Testament people werent allowed to drink (the rule is still there in Judaism, and also taken over by the Islam). The New Testament says you shouldnt be drunk, not that you cant drink (Jesus drank wine anyway). Its about keeping control over your body and your mind, your mind is messed up when youre either drunk or use marijuana, which is why the bible is against it.

 

It is not a physical rebirth but a spiritual rebirth and in order to become a follower of Christ this is what one must have to do. Jesus explains it to Nicodemous in John 3.

Simply, to be born again all you have to do is accept Christ into your life and make him your personal savior.

 

First of all it is not according to me but it was long written before me in the inspired words of the Bible.

Second, your example simply shows how twisted and disturb your mind is. Understand, Christians will still sin after they are born again or "saved" but what God looks at is if one is trying their hardest to live for him. He sees that sincereity and knows those who strive to follow him trully love him. Remember Christians are not perfect but it is only through Jesus' sacrifice that we are aloud to enter a perfect place--heaven. If a "Christian" is doing that to his neighbor's wife than you really must start to question that person's faith. Again, those who love the Lord strive to follow his commands.

You did not understand my point and here it is. If everyone is imperfect. And if a person must be perfect to enter Heaven. SO, How does imperfect people enter a perfect place. JESUS. Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice. Accept Jesus and your sins will be cleared when Judgment comes. He is the Lamb of God.

 

Do you even understand why he is called the lamb of God? No you wouldn't...

 

this makes it seem like being 'born-again' is a free ride, as though you do whatever, and your sins are cleared [which isnt the case]

I'm sorry... thats not what i ment.... what i ment is accept Christ before its to late because he washes away are sins by his blood.... Even though Christians still do sin God sees the sincerity of the True Christians who are trying to follow his ways. When judgment comes Jesus will ask one question: Do I know you?

I wonder, if someone lives a great life, in the image of Jesus but, they dont praise jesus as god. What if they just realize he was a great man who set a good example, but dont worship him? Will they still go to hell?

It was a quick post.... again I was in class... didn't have much time to think. What it will be like for those who do not have a personal relation with Jesus is something like this:

Person: Hey, you're Jesus.
Jesus: Do you know me?
Person: Yeah, i would hear about you at church sometimes or on the news for various reasons.
Jesus: Oh so you knew of me, but did you actually know me personally?
Person: Well how could I do that you are not of my world. I mean I went to church and all....
Jesus: "Depart from me, I never knew you."


So our good works, our religion, our baptism, our confirmation, our philosophy, nor our church membership can't get us into heaven. There is only ONE remedy for the problem of Sin and Separation...Jesus.
