it seems for some people LSD helps bring them closer to god, whether thats the christian god or any other, and for others LSD seperates them from any form of religion. For me, LSD helped me realize what a bunch of shit religion tends to be.

As far as the cannabis circle goes I think you are right on the mark, people think it makes you stupid? Bull, It brought me closer to friends and gave me thought and ideas about every aspect of live I would have never realized. I was also say it brought me closer to my savior. I have seen many people smoke and not smoke. It always makes you a better person. Unless your insane or something.

    Check my signature picture!
Isn't that picture explaining by itself everything and much more than any religion on the world is trying to explain, including Christ.
That picture was made by vision of the guy on LSD, and if he made a sin, its all forgiven from my side and I belive there is nobody including Christ who could not forgive him. Christ was also talking about sacrifice and giving your self fully to others. How can you give something to somebody what you don't know what it is. That would be cheating in my opinion. So, in order to love others and to give yourself to others, you need to know and love yourself, because if you don't, why are you giving something you don't like to others? LSD is helping you to look upon yourself and learn a lot about your mind and feelings, a lot about nature, others, everything that surrounds you, but most of all, it is introducing yourself to you. Even if it is a sin(witch I don't think it is), it is less a sin than giving to others something you don't know what it is. Its like: "Here, take this, I don't know what it is! Maybe its a bomb, who the fuck knows, but you keep it!"
I think you get my point and I am sure that your Bible has something similar to say.

i'm a huge jesus fan and lsd has only made me feel closer to him...to the all. it did disconnect me from religion--but brought me closer to the source--the divine essence of being--and my love for jesus is just as wonderful as it was before lsd. i am grateful to include lsd as an IMPORTANT part of my spiritual practice-its my holy communion.

I've always wanted to know what it would be like from a deeply religious person to trip. I think if anything tripping would allow you to decide some things about religion for yourself and bring you closer to the true meaning behind things and bypass all the dogmatic bull shit

lsd really for me opened my eyes to all religions and made me realise it wasnt for me, i believe in a higher power that lives in everyone that people just dont get to use without years of training your mind spiritually or psychedelic drugs. after all i can say that i have seen "god" but if i tryed to explain it i would be locked up in a mental ward, alot of people ARE in hospitals labelled "metally ill" because they have seen the truth, the power and the vast ongoing existence of humanity in itself for this same reason. god to me is the trees, the air, the water and the driving force that keeps life in constant motion. when you meet "god" inside yourself through one way or another you will die to the ego world, and you will be nothing and feel nothing but the glorious light of light and ultimate love surrounding you in every living thing in existence.

each person takes their own journey to find the almighty and that feeling can only be found if the person finds what they themselfs are looking for

I don't know so much about the Christian Bible

If you can find it (which should be easy) try reading A Course In Miracles by Inner Peace Foundation. There is no author's name on the book anywhere, because the very point is it's universal appeal. It is entirely Christian in terminology, but what is represented is much more esoteric. Basically the Holy Spirit is Om (or what the book calls the Voice of God) and Christ is Christ Consciousness, the mentality that all can connect to by the undoing of fear and lack of love. Healing is the what the books about, and the kind of healing you are looking for neodude is why this book exists. I just started reading it on Saturday and am already impressed.

You do not have to use a substance to get closer to god. However, I do not think it is wrong either.

I cant call tripping sinful, but i've tripped before and there are a lot of people that share my faith that would not understand, because their minds have been filled with fear by propaganda. There is sin in self destruction but psychedelics are used to heal people! We are seeking truth, projecting love, and sharing the good news! LSD is totally in synch with Christ!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't people drink wine ("the blood of Christ") to get closer to God?

True. And Jesus not only drank wine but he made it. And he said to do it in memory of Him as part of a communal ceremony.

But the Baptists are so right-wing they don't believe in drinking wine. In fact they purposely mistranslated the word 'Vino' (which literally means wine) as being some form of non-alcoholic grape juice. Duh.

So what's wrong with left-wing beliefs in Christianity? The Native American Church is Christian & uses Mescalito in their ceremonies as their form of communion. They believe it is the 'flesh of God'.

The American Government had to cap that idea & limit it to you being at least 1/4 Native American & Peyote is illegal for anyone else. And you can't join.

Mainly goes back to our Puritan roots & Victorian principles, anal retentive Europeans who settled this country. When Bayer & the like went too far patenting & selling 'Heroin' & there was cocaine in Coca Cola, some of the prudes from the far right saw opportunity in legislating rightness.

Not only Refer Madness accompanied all of the above, but Prohibition of alcohol & fanatical anti-commie witch hunts, etc. So there's always room in government for a Hitler to milk the sympathies of freaked-out conservatives & give them something to blame all the ills of the country on.

Look at Netherlands & how productive they are if making drugs legal turns everybody into lazy slouches.

Besides, doesn't the Constitution outline Freedom of Religion as a basic Right? Sometimes I think the High-Times Magazine image of the thug looking hip-hoppers smoking bongs taints the whole 'medical marijuana' thing & gives people too much of a party idea. Yeah, OK, maybe just like WA & CO, pot should just be legal. Better than alcohol. At least for driving. But they were already posting 'Buzzed Driving is Drunk Driving' posters at bus stops in CA like 6, 8 years ago. Let me see a demo. Put someone in a simulation & let them drive. I think they should do that, in fact instead of this .08 shit which is the governments fault for not providing cheap mass transportation so people can :sunny:go clubbing like in Europe. So the MAD Drivers VS Drunk Mothers went to the extreme on that one too. (Give 'em a cause & they'll make another law)...

I'd really like to see how impaired a person actually is at .09 because I think the drunk people who cause fatalities are WAY MORE SLOPPY-ASSED DRUNK THAN .08! They set the bar so low you can't even enjoy yourself & afford to drive home. Two cops in Texas just got popped for DUI (6-2013). One on a motorcycle & one on a boat. These draconian laws ruin peoples' lives. Get the REAL drunks off the highway. Keep them off with a steering column breathalyzer. These DUI stops are Nazi fascist BS & a lot of States don't even permit them because they are entrapment. They didn't see you driving erratically, they are just checking everybody! Anyway, sounds like a good subject for a new thread. I know a person who lost a leg riding a bike to DUI. But the guy also had 0 pulse when his girlfriend dialed 9-11 because he's a junkie. So, the shoe is on which foot? Zero tolerance is sometimes much too intolerant. Where is the mass transit so people can go hang out with their friends & still get a ride home? That's government failure. It's a double standard. I'm sorry to be so full of my subject. lol.

But Peyote & Mushrooms definitely have a religious, spiritual trip going on with them which is sometimes not all that pleasant since you are doing self-examination & stuff. It's really tedious. I know my early acid trips were like that & I don't really want to do acid again because I've seen what's on the inside. I know what is there. It's actually hard work for me. Yeah, OK shallow Hal takes it to go to a concert & see lights & stuff —And there was that dimension of it when we were teenagers, but when you get down to the big questions on acid, that's some serious shit. You are fucking exhausted afterwards.

Probably a reason that so many people leave churchianity & anal retentive biblical interpretation for any religious philosophy that has some spirituality that doesn't mention Jesus; because (as Christ said) those religious leaders shut up the Kingdom of heaven against men & neither are they going there themselves nor are they gonna help you get in.

Anyway, I digress. Gotta go do something mundane so I can get back on the road. Later

personally i believe there is nothing wrong with tripping on lsd and being christian.

but technically if you want to be a law abiding citizen, which for some could be an article of faith, then you can't use lsd.

however the illegality of lsd is questionable at best.

I suppose since believers are no longer under the harsh Mosaic Law, they now are bound to a more difficult yet freeing 'Law of Love', Christ's last commandment since He'd just fulfilled Old Testament Law (Thou shalt not Yada Yada...) which was now just a mere shadow passing away. I guess what Paul said is the best advice in Romans 13 & 14 about; "All things are lawful unto me but all things are not expedient." And "all things are clean unto me but I will not be brought under the power of any." Most of my acid trips were as a young guy discovering the fact that the spirit-world was all around me. I was a wishy-washy Catholic.

But once I got to know the Word & the Holy Spirit, I was living more in the Spirit World & drugs became too intense. I'd watch guys who I knew to be shallow smoke pot until the cows came home & I wondered how they could do that since one or two hits were enough or too much for me. And acid, well that's a funny subject because it's like a discovery drug, so intense, but then once you've been there, it seems like you don't want to go through that raw inter-dimensional self-examination again. It would blow me away & I'd even have bad trips, so what was the point I felt? I think acid is a right of passage & once you've done it, it makes your search speed up & intensify to where you find it. Then, I mean, the recreational part seems a little bit empty or redundant, but it still may be needed by some. But you know the truth & the truth sets you free & so where do you want to go beyond freedom? Be bound again? You see that a lot with alcohol. It's cool in moderation.

What's interesting to me is how the Native American Church who are Christian, uses Mescalito (peyote) in their services as a form of communion, reunion, celebration, worship & catharsis. I find Acid to be much more cathartic, maybe because it seems stronger & much harder to control your mind on it. To me anyway. Although ergot occurs in nature, synth lsd tripping seems much more clinical, whereas if you've ever experienced Peyote, which I have, it is much more natural & sort of lends itself to you & meets you half way. It seemed a little 'too mild' to me since I was doing it during my teenage acid years. It was no LSD. I suppose I should have taken more. But it was very pensive, very existential. It was not mind-bending; more mind persuading if you get my drift. I think there's that rift between synthetics & naturals like if you take a Valium or if you chew Valerian Root. You know they are inherently similar, but because of 'better living through chemistry' some lab tech working for Big Pharma took this God-given natural substance & intensified it 50 X's. They also exclude that balance components, like when they produced Marinol wafers for cancer patients. I don't remember exactly but I think they only included the THC & excluded all the CBD's and the patients preferred to just smoke pot since there were many personalities to each strain —up, down & all around with some relieving pain & some helping them deal with the life shortening experience of cancer itself. FDA: One size fits all sucked in this case.

I was talking to a pharmacist & he said there is hardly anything natural in the pills they sell. For instance hydrocodone. It's synthetic & moreover they put poison Acetaminophen in it that is the sole responsible ingredient for liver failure through so-called abuse of it. It's like putting poison in candy as one doctor stated it at a federal hearing which only resulted in them tapering off in the amount of APAP (Acetaminophen/Tylenol) over the next few yeas. Some of the guys were adamant against it. They thought the poison needed to stay in! I'm sure that's cause Darth Cheney or somebody owns the drug manufacturer of Tylenol. So they have agreed to taper it off, but in the meanwhile everybody that takes a lot of it has to deal with the destruction of their liver. On the other had, in countries where they grown opium, old people sit there with long pipes & toke a little for their arthritis & then proceed to help with weaving or childcare or whatever. You see a lot of postcards like that from Northern Thailand.

Then people take that noble stuff God put here for pain & sleep & extract the morphine & cook it into Heroin, which is much more dangerous & addictive. So mankind always goes overboard on things God made. I even think during the past 20 years breeders have bred most of the great CBD's out of some of the greatest strains of marijuana & focused too much on THC content. I experienced that in Cali pot. way different from the rope we toked when we were kids. It made me way too high. Of course on balance we'd have to smoke that ditch weed all night before we got high. Later it got better. But I miss the genuine Acapulco Gold & Panama Red, both of which had totally different qualities I recall to this day.

i wasn't talking about mosaic law. was talking about US law.

    romans 13:1

but then, the US is founded on the principle of throwing off unreasonable restraint.

—Yes, it seems we agree on many things; I saw that in your post. I guess I kind of went off on a tangent establishing there's often a disparity between the laws of God & the laws of men. Like pot. He put it there, but it's the Fed says it is illegal & many places they will still put you in jail for small amounts, not most. At least as of early last century it's illegal but before that they were selling smack at the pharmacy & putting the coca' in Coke. Man's laws change as per time, politics & country. There are so many parallels to where they are at odds. There are the Goody-goody's that think if you make a half-hearted attempt at a stop sign that it is a sin. I guess it depends on how soft the stop is & where & why you were trying to get where you were going. If your wife is having a baby the cops will escort you. Um, it depends. I prefer to talk about it in the past experience format. I didn't think it was a sin for me then. And I doubt if God cares about it for people discovering it now. Only persnickety people who want to ban everything because it is apt to be a sin. People who are heavy into law. Sometimes very religious people. Yes, they are different, God's Laws & Man's laws. God is for freedom but you best watch out where & when you are free, like taking your clothes off with your girlfriend out in the woods & careful who sees you cause some blue-nose is gonna call the cops. Hey —The Garden of Eden: Mankind started with two naked people fucking & doing as they pleased except for one lousy tree. So people can see the difference if they believe in the God of Love. The other gods, hatred & legalism & vengeance rather than forgiveness, mercy & freedom, well those people are making their own little Hell right here on Earth. :bobby: :sunny::bobby:
