Have you seen the one where the steamroller rolls over him while laying on glass? I love it how the cameras fucked it up, he did his part fine, but the part of an illusion is tricking the eyes, so you don't want them to see everything. He was laying on a mattress type thing, so that when the steamroller went over him it smushed him down, and he was actually lower than the pavement. If the cameramen did their job correctly, then no one would have ever known.

I think the real question here is how much of it is sleight of hand vs. camera tricks. I'd rather see it in person, it's not the same on TV.

Its Ignorant to say his practices, or anyones for that matter are fake


for example, if does an illusion that gives him the appearance of flying, but in reality he is only standing on a clear wire

then he Isn't "Fake" flying, he's simply walking on a clear wire, what you allow him to elude you into beleving is still up to you

but he isnt "Faking" anything

Well It is obvious he is not really magic, I mean come on ?! But I still like the show coz its entertaining and I like to try to make myself believe its real although I know it couldn’t be ! And I don’t care what people say about his dress sense either I think he is pretty hot !

He has some really alsome tricks, wish i knew how he does them...Maybe when he's older he'll spill on a few of them. A real entertaner* i love his shows...then agian i love all "magic"

 

He used to have his offices here in Vegas, at what is NOW Planet Hollywood.

(Used to be the Alladin) NOW he's based at the Luxor.(Also in Vegas) You know the one with the REAL bright light that can be seen from 300 miles UP. (Can be seen from the ISS!) I'm hoping to get over there to meet him. That levitation shit he does is FREAKy as hell.

 

yea, It's not real, as in, he used tricks of the eyes (Illusions), but I don't think they camera-edit anything

 

What about when he reads people minds? Is that real? How do you fake that? I hear it has something to do with reading the facial expressions and noticing slight twitches, I don’t know but I like to watch the show. I think he is cool. Oh, I also heard the levitation has something to do with magnets and you can build something that makes you levitate for a few hundred dollars.

It's filmed on T.V.... so it doesn't matter if it's real or not, because just by merit of being on T.V. you'll never be able to tell if what he is doing is a legitimate illusion or edited.

 

So Fake

 

Fake as hell. If the stuff he did was real he could sell out stadiums doing the stuff, change the world even, yet he just does it infront of a camera and over enthusiastic people. Its the same as the psychic tv shows, its nothing more then a scam, taking advantage of people who are not smart enough to know whats really going on.

Crazy shit happens in movies too, terminator must have been a mind freak.

it's an Illusion! Tricks are what whores do for money...Or cocaine! The stuff he does kills any magician out there today. Only thing keeping him from becoming a legend is dying during an act. I don't know why but that's what separates the and blaines from the houdinis, but it does. i get the feeling his psychic ability is a total gaff and he just uses stooges. Some of the stuff like walking on screwdrivers are just feats of balance and body manipulation and can't be faked, but the former members of the Jim Rose Circus performed much more impressive stuff in that category. However The Jim Rose Circus would never make it on television because of its intensity.

who cares if its fake or real.. hes an entertainer and thats exactly what he does.. entertain.
