If you're craving chocolate, do you think it actually means you're craving love (as chocolate releases dopamine)?
I used to not like chocolate at all and people found this strange. I was always in relationship after relationship before. Now I'm single and craving chocolate, ha.
I like it enough, just don't eat it anymore... Been single for over 10 years. Not seeing the connection.
Oh, that photo you posted, Rainy looks so good, and I have no chocolate here.....damn.... I like it best gooey just out of the oven and warm....and it can drip all over like a kid.....lol
Chocolate for me needs the gooey centers. Straight up chocolate I've never really liked unless melted. Caramel centers are my friend. =]
I've been on a huge chocolate kick lately. I am loved well and often, so I don't think it's that specific. Maybe there is a connection between chocolate and dopamine, wanting to feel good. I've never thought of it!
It's actually oxytocin -- not dopamine -- your brain produces when you eat chocolate that is connected with love. It's also released whenever you hug or cuddle with someone, and is known as the "love hormone." It does also trigger the release of dopamine, as well as serotonin, which also contributes to feelings of well-being. I've never had much of an emotional connection with chocolate. I think it's more of a female thing. But I do love a good dark chocolate (Lindt 90% dark FTW). None of that nasty milk chocolate.
... no 4 realz.. the Hershey kind.. plain old dark chocolate. each little break in the bar measures 11.3mgs of caffeine. lately Ive lost my lust for chocolate..
i'll second that. nothing less then 70% i've even eaten unsweetened and found it not as much of a problem as a lot of people say it is.
