Now this is where you have really hit the nail on the head. All that has happened is that old empires and new aspiring empires have just gone out and conquered the world without the need for any armies. You just take over the host countries industries and their dependence on you becomes absolute. Whilst Turkey did have serious restrictive practices in its high tariffs one can debate whether the situation is better or worse - (personally I think it is better for the average Turk) but in so far as Turkey's independence goes the reliance on foreign investment and tourism is now absolute. Turkey dare not upset tourists and she has to wag the tail of the Western dog. In many ways my own country the United Kingdom does a fine job of sucking up to Yankee Doodle Dandee at the expense of our closest and most important trading partners in Europe. Going back to the original discussion and - enter China once again, what may be our saving grace ( and I say that about Europe and the USA ) is that China may have become overly dependent on the inward investment and influence of foreing countries. It will be interesting to see how things pan out. Gece gec. Saat uc neredeyse. Yarin isim var. Yatmam gerekiyor. Iyi geceler.
