The Confessions of a Burning Man Soundtrack, especially track 4; DarkHorse- Temple of Tears listen at www.threesixtyrecords.net. Massive Attack, ATB, Matishyahu, Gorecki, Tiesto, Peter Tosh, Rich Hardesty, Portishead, and there is always classical music.. I love to get blowed and chill to some classic cello, violin or piano.
Try some sun kil moon covers of modest mouse songs. They really do Modest Mouse's lyrics justice. Or Nael Yaim- New Soul its a fun song. The whole Juno soundtrack is pretty chill.
http://www.myspace.com/williamfitzsimmons Check that dude out. I haven't listened to a full album of his, but what I've heard on there I like quite a bit. Real chill acoustic music with a little bit of electronic stuff threw in. For me it's ideal for sitting back and smoking a joint.
or some Stephanie Dosen. Every album I've heard that she has put out, I like. http://www.myspace.com/stephaniedosen
Oh yeah, stuff like Sphongle is good, but not every time. Sometimes you're in the mood for something different then the stuff you always listen high right? Sometimes it can be psychedelic trance stuff like Sphongle, or acoustic jazzy folk like Pentangle (first three albums, heavily recommended!) and when you're not in the mood for those the jams of Jimi Hendrix never fail to get you on a higher level then the weed already got you! Quicksilver Messenger Service - Happy trails also always stays great for a stoner session
This is my myspace playlist- Janis Joplin- Summertime, hesitation blues, one good man The Doors- Five to one, ghost song, the spy, when the music's over Rusted Root- Back to the earth, lost in a crowd Led Zeppelin- Thank you, I can't quit you babe Stevie Ray Vaughan- Ain't gonna give up on love, little wing, sky is crying There are more, but you might not be into them.
Sigur Ros is a really awesome chill band. Brian Jonestown Massacre is the shit. Tool is really awesome to listen to baked.
if you are looking for reggae i would suggest eek-a-mouse, the expendables, or mad professor. GWAR has some pretty sick songs (metal) dredg is a pretty good alternative band, and fun to listen to
any classical rock band. I recently discovered this very groovey chillin band called Lemon Jelly, check em out. Also Oysterhead, Buckethead, and YOnder are my personal chillen music selection.
Intense blues vocals like Ray Charles or Robert Johnson are very exciting while stoned. It gets my bouncing up and down and clapping and yelling like an idiot! wutthe4k your signature is like the story of my life. LOL
