In about two weeks the second of two Chick-Fil-A's is coming to Western NY, and this location will be just a few minutes from my house. I don't eat much fast food, but I have heard people rave about their food, so I am kind of excited to try it. So before trying it myself for the first time, I thought I would ask for people's opinions in here. Is it really that good? What is the best thing on their menu? I heard it's basically just chicken sandwiches.
It's fried chicken. That's all it is. I've watched people rave about it since the late 70s and I still don't get it. It's like the Est of fried chicken I guess.
Just plain old chicken nuggets is my favorite. Gets on my nerves how popular it is. Its like cult status. Wbatever
FWIW Its also a super duper christiany business. They do have good customer service. Something to be said for that
They're above average for fast food but that's about it, its nothing spectacular And their employees smile at you and say hello instead of grunting
Lol. Well yes it's fried chicken like paint is paint. CF gets it's following because of the consistent quality and service. The chicken is of their own sources, the seasonings etc. Plus they have excellent quality customer service and consistently clean facilities. If I'm going fast food, I'll put them higher on the list than most.
Got one an hour from me and always wanted to try it but between their political stands and variety of chicken places in the area i just never got around to them.
I have no experience with it whatsoever, but have with nuggets of stuff like BK and McDonald's, and of course KFC and know what kind of chicken they usually resort to. Connecting this with your knowledge of and you valuing quality chicken meat i don't get your excitement. To be fair: depending on mood and moment i can enjoy this fast food as well. But its not hard to avoid and resist a possible craving either.
Yeah, all fast food is of low quality and nutrition. It's one of those things I allow myself to eat once every couple of months, but I try to stick to the "higher end" stuff (Wendy's, Five Guys, etc.) -- not McDonalds and BK, which are disgusting.
I heard or read in the news they are anti-lgbtq. Can't find an article on it, but for the sake of tolerance I have avoided them. That, and I don't usually go to drive thru places. I'm not gay or anything, I just don't want to enable that. I did find an article but I don't know the source to be reputable. Here it is Chick-fil-A is still bankrolling anti-LGBTQ causes The article cites instances of donations by Chick-fil-A to organizations that support organizations that are likely anti-lgbtq. But anyway... it was in the news in California in 2015 or something for being anti-lgbtq. Here's a Wikipedia page about it, as much as I don't use them as a source it was the easier thing to find in this case. Chick-fil-A same-sex marriage controversy - Wikipedia
Here is a link from a better organization about the scandal. Chick-Fil-A Gay Marriage Fight Makes Some Want to Eat (Mor) Chicken
We got two in North Dakota now. The sandwiches are good and you can get soup instead of fries. They bring it to the table for you. They are anti LGTBQ and anti breastfeed and they are not open on Sunday.
They have awesome chicken sandwiches. They also have a grilled chicken if you prefer. I have boycotted them for at least the past five years because their owners are bigots.
Damn @soulcompromise Now I can't eat there anymore. Such a shame. They have great service and the chicken is damn good for fast food
