Cherry Beer...

Hey guys,

I went to the Montreal Beer Fest earlier this summer and sampled what I think is one of the tastiest beers I've ever had. It's a Belgian beer called Kriek de Belle-Vue. Has anyone else tried it and loved it?

 

Yeah, I've had it. Lindeman's Kriek cherry lambic is the best.

 

Never had it but it sounds good.

 

aaaah! I love beer! Though I've never tried a cherry beer... sounds nice.. but I prefer our czech beer

 

I've yet to find a cherry beer that's sold here in Montreal.

 

Well, if you live in Montreal, I'm sure you've heard of Unibroue (which is in Chambly). They make a great cherry beer called Quelque Chose.

 

Yes I have heard of it and I've been looking for it in every liquor store I've encountered. However, I heard that it's served warm... which made me wonder if it tatses good cold.

 

cherry beer never heard of it,ive had a speacial fall ale my dads friend had was kind of fruity tasting,was pretty good,i pretty much drink bush and bud i would to go out and buy a couple bottle of some different beers and do a taste test

 

Yeah, I've had it, we're direct neighbours of Belgium here so usually we can taste along from their excellent beer industry. Kriek isn't bad, but it's a bit too sweet for my tastes.

It's a good option for people who're not a big fan of the bitter taste of most other beer.

 

I don't like beer. I do like Kriek. it's the only beer-like thing I drink.

 

Yeah my girlfriend is a fan of kriekbier...is a bit too sweet for my liking...Give me a Delirium Nocturnum or a Sierra Nevada Pale ale anyday

 

Sam Adams Makes Cherry Beer

 

Sounds really good. I've never had cherry, but I've had a few other fruity beers. There's a rasberry one called Purple Haze, which is quite good.

 

mmm yeah, i tried it when i was in belgium this summer. it's sooo good

 

Belgian beer is generally awesome...

and this cherry beer sounds even more so
