that was so incredibly sad :'(. i cried. we cant stop everybody from eating meat, but couldnt we at least spend more money on trying to make things better for the animals? money isn't everything...i wish more people understood that.

i know it's the way the world is. but why? i hate money. it brings out the worst in people. it ruins everything.

wow, thats fuckin' sick... i think the humans in that disgusted me more than the animals though, i dont see how anyone could not go vegan after seeing that either... people need to be able to handle the reality of what takes place in this world, aka, that video.

Okay, I skimmed through this thread, and okay I dont know really where to begin..
Here is my thoughts on the whole eating meat situation..

Okay, I think people are being very hypocritical, and that is one thing I cant stand. Why cant people just do their own thing and leave others alone, and not make them feel bad cause they eat meat? I can never understand that. I was a vegetarian when most of you were in diapers, and I never once ever talked about it, never made someone feel bad, never try to force them that I was right. NEVER!! cause ya know why...it was my choice and one I made on my own. I eat meat now, why, cause I can...
Dont force your opinion of what you think is right or wrong on others, thats what those self righteous religious freaks do. And dont tell someone that they are a murder cause they eat meat..that makes no sense..Ya know whats funny is there are animals being tortured for other things, like those baboons that Bill Maher was talking about at Columbia University, theres something to get worked up about and angry, not at me cause i just go to the store and buy some chicken..

I used to talk about it... I pretty much don't talk about it a whole lot anymore.

 

well you can talk about what you believe in and such, but to make the other person feel bad or feel that they are wrong cause they dont think the same way is you, its just freakin ridiculous ya know...

 

I never push people to become vegetarian or try to make them feel bad. But when somebody asks me why I don't eat meat, I will tell them horror stories about how the factory farms treat animals .

 

People always come up to me and say something like..."Alex, I LOVE meat. You know what the best thing about meat is? It's meatiness." Stuff like that. I don't think they understand that I really don't care about their life choices...

I'm with peta... but I'm not too fond of all of their members... and Ingrid Newkirk is a little nutty... I live only about 45 minutes from Norfolk and have been to the headquarters many a time.

 

If you eat meat its not just affecting you, you are supporting the poisoning of the Planet and the torture of innocent animals. If you were to convert to a certain religion, then people have no business interrupting your life; if you eat meat, people who care about this Planet and the life on it do have the right to inform you why it is wrong.

 

i always get a kick out of ordering veal around vegetarians.
