what kind of riding do you do?

 

I prefer hardtails too but that is barely a fully

If I end up moving out west I'll keep my street/dirt jumper built hardtail and probably pick up a transition bottlerocket.

The look and feel of a hardtail but with the extra cushioning of a fully is there so you can ride it a little harder.

 

I do cross country and endurance racing. I did a 50 mile race a few weeks ago. I'm doing a 12 hour race in Feb. I'm doing a 6 race xc series next year.

 

There just seemed to be so much loss in power doing anything uphill on a fully.. that's why i never cared for them.. Im thinking my next bike is gonna be a ss 29er.. larger wheel will make up for the lack of gears and be a much simpler bike

This guy is badass..I bought the dvd on boxing day a few yrs ago. I think they used a dif song on youtube. And I agree fullys suck for riding uphill, that's why I would never buy one unless I lived somewhere with mountains. It's hilarious seeing kids in Ontario with $4000 FS downhill bikes that weigh like 40 lbs when the only "mountain" here is blue mountain. The FS/HT hybrids aren't too bad if you only have a bit of climbing to do however.

winter has hit the past few days like a ton of bricks

first snow this winter...fuck this..

We have an inch or two right now, that's it... Apparently, all the snow moved south so far... lol

i still have about 6 plants that i never retrieved from the woods...cant wait to see them lol

They are saying 1-3 for thursday here

 

We should have at least a foot or two of snow on the ground by now... should have been solid ground cover for at least the last two weeks, longer in some years...
Its just the last couple of days its actually been snowing and staying here.
