I'm confused... my nylon strings got here today, but they don't have any type of ends on them... How am I supposed to put them on? The other ones had a metal ring on the end that hooked under the string bracket....

 

Nylon strings are supposed to be tied onto the guitar - they are more in the classical guitar form.



I'm assuming you've got those little pegs on the bridge of your guitar that the metal ball on the string is supposed to sit under.. in which case, you're shit outta luck.

Gonna have to buy some new strings because these won't attach to one of these:

there are loops of nylon cord at the end of the bigger three strings, I think I could slip a piece of coat hanger through them and tie the smaller ones on and slip it under the lip?

 

Yeah I don't think the nylon strings can be tied onto that.. it might be possible, but you have to get the strings into a loop where the end of the string is held on by the pressure of the string being tight.

I think it would be easiest to buy strings with metal balls on the end, but like I say, if you're feeling experimental go for it and try to tie on the strings, though they are meant for classical guitars like the one I posted a picture of above.

 

That might very well work actually.. it's worth a try at least.

I'm starting to get really peeved with Paypal.. I tried to make a payment for some items from Sweden whereas I usually make my payments from Canada.. so they immediately "limited" my account. I had to go onto their website and provide a bunch of information so as to get the account off their limit, which I did.

The payment I made is still "on hold". It's been taken from my bank account, but it hasn't gone to the seller who it was supposed to.. paypal is just sitting on it.. no updates for 4 days so I e-mail them. Now it's been over 72 hours since the first e-mail asking how long it usually takes to resolve these things and no answer, and 24 hours since the second e-mail.

I'm not impressed.. don't think I'm gonna be using Paypal in the future.
