i dont know, im going to call and ask tomorrow, and also let them know that we are trying to get a handle on the yard. it all because hubby let the sideyard grow over. and then i was taken down in the middle of mowing by excruciating lady pain.

yay obstacles.

 

So I've started looking for another job. I really enjoy the job I currently do but it's just not worth it at the end of the day. My weekly pay checks look great but it comes at a cost of trying to run my own courier business. Basically if I average out at $1500 a week my missus can still only afford to pay me about $800 and that's just not good enough for me. It sounds ridiculous but the left over money goes on multiple tanks of fuel each week to get the job done, adds up for the van service, accountants, taxes, superannuation and all that stuff.

Friday I saw an advert for a job that I basically couldn't resist applying for so I fixed up my resume yesterday and now Monday morning at 830am I got an email with specific criteria that I easily matched, answered and sent back so hopefully I'll be able to attend an assessment early next week and see if I'm suitable.

Personally I don't know how I'm not suitable for a job in a mail room listed as "no experience required" when I work for the mail department already and obtain a fork lift licence which they said would help. The job itself was listed between 50-70k and I'm on about 36k-38k right now working 11 hr days with no sick days, no holidays, no time off and no benefits oh and have to manage a small business with all that so I'll be stoked if I can get out with a job that pays more and don't have to worry about the rest of the bullshit that goes with the business.

Shit, I didn't think anyone would read that. Most of the time when I post on a forum I'm really just talking to myself and most of my justifications in the real world look better when I type them out than they do when try and say them.

Haha, I know the feeling. Fingers crossed for you, sounds like a good gig. Sometimes running your own business just isn't worth the stress and the long hours.
