some good cider is a nice alternative to beer as its gluten free...im not a big fan of the gluten free beers but love me a good dry hard cider. buddy of mine developed celiacs disease (gluten intolerance) around the time he turned 21 and was bummed for a bit but then he just switched to drinking rum and coke at parties lol



just ordered some chinese food (place is slow so it wont be here till like 12ish) and am rolling myself a joint. gonna be a good day. i think ive got everything worked out with my car to pick up inspected tomorrow. just gotta get it, run down the street and get a new tire put on and then back for the stickers but i should be good to go. siked for my halloween party, im either dressing as the kid from free willy with a stuff whale on my head or dressing as dilbert lol should be a good time

Yeah, going gluten free may be tough up there.

I'm tempted to give it a go but I can't afford to shop gluten-free.
It seems like it's a diet for those who have no choice or middle class.

There is a good gluten free beer up here called New Grist that is really good. I've tried one other one and it was really gross though, so I guess I'll stick to this one haha.

 

I think it depends on how you approach it. If you want to find substitutes for all your favourite foods (gluten free bread, pizzas, pasta, etc.) I could see it being pretty expensive. If you just cut that stuff out and replace it with more veggies, beans, potatoes, etc, it shouldn't be too expensive. Kind of the same thing with going vegan, really. The faux-meats and cheeses are very expensive, but dried beans and frozen veggies are not, lol.

I've read where centuries ago, during hard winters, etc the settlers here would drink a kind of acorn tea that was compared to coffee. I bet that tasted vile. :ack2: I have made (and drunk) my own golden seal tea, made from the stems and leaves and that tastes absolutely godawful. lol I figure it does a lot of good or something when it tastes that bad.

Yeah he was in a London Taxi. I have seen Furthur too but never got into them as much. Never saw GD but they definitely have a bigger lot scene then Phish. I know people who lived on tour in the early 90's. As they put it "anything you needed was on lot except auto parts".

It won't warm the car up that much. You will just be wasting gas. You have to rev a car to heat it up. At idle it will get there eventually but it will be very slow.
