OK...the basement has a cement floor and nice red pine knotted paneling (I think that is what I was told it was). At one time a doctor practiced here...for about 6 or 7 years. There are 4 rooms plus a bathroom and shower, in front of "the doors".

A doctor and his doctor brother built this house and the one beside it in 1950 or 1951.

This house has this completed basement...and then "the doors" at the back of the finished part open onto the "back part". For many years, I've referred to the part behind "the doors" as the funeral parlor. :p :) The cement ends, its squared off, and you can see the under foundation of the house, with the brick pillars holding stuff up...its all real sturdy. There is a space, about 20' long of dirt that slopes up to the underside of the rest of the house. The dirt stops about where there are 2 bed rooms above.

I've had a couple of boyfriends (and their construction bosses) that have looked at this and said they'd never seen anything like it. I kind of felt like it was a bizarre thing to see, as opposed to a good thing.

Back in this area is where the oil tank is, the heat motor/whatever gets us warm, and hot water heater is. The dirt is beyond all that. I was told that when a house is finished, as this one is, you would ALWAYS see a wall of some sort up stopping the open access/view of that dirt.

Even as a child, that dirt always really scared me.

For the very most part, I've always liked dirt. :sunny:

Edit: The sloping dirt may be longer than 20'. It's a little ways.

I prefer the sugarskull one, but yeah I never pictured Cthulu like some sort of a Walt Disney Davy Jones face before I saw it in Southpark I think. Does the reference to a sugarskull means the extra motives and 'artwork' is mexican orientated?

Interestingly enough, the purest Lovedouchebags on this one page I follow, congratulate the South Park dudes on one of the more accurate representations of Cthulhu.

I've been contemplating making a Cthulhu costume. Of course all the haters are currently hating on 'sexy' version of anything. When I said I was gonna do a sexy cthulhu they all chimed in with 'oh...we've *never* seen that before'
But I'm gonna make my cos as large and lumpy and fat as the C-dude is supposed to be...and then put a string bikini over his monster-boobs. I know they've NEVER seen that before!!!!

Yeah I guess I just didn't have a fixed picture in my mind of him at all before ;) Just a big and really impressive evil monster that resides on the bottom of the sea :p
